Founder/CEO – Started information services company in 2003. The Software as a Service (SaaS) business productivity and data
management systems I designed and built are database driven, web-based dynamic applications that allow subscribing customers to
maximize effectiveness, minimize costs and reduce data errors. These secure web applications are designed to integrate
organizational data and present it to users in intuitive, easy to use interfaces.
Related Accomplishments:
• Forté Human Resources Information System (http://trigonroad.com/forte): Commercial time and attendance and expense
reporting Human Resources Information System. Used by 11 Companies with over 1,700 users.
• Emma (http://emma4events.com): Event management application used by customers to manage competitive events and
participating ensembles throughout the United States. The application has been used by over 44,000 people in the past
month.
• CorpsData (http://corpsdata.net): a suite of business tools for the administration of drum and bugle corps and also a social
networking site used by over 50,000 people in the last year.
• BandData (http://banddata.net): designed for the management of performing ensembles in public and private schools,
colleges and universities and independent groups. BandData facilitates data management, storage and communications for
music program directors and staff. This subscription application is in beta testing as of Fall 2012 and already has fifty pre-
orders from high schools and colleges across the country.
• Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) websites (http://www.improveehdi.org/wi/): Custom Content
Management System and public websites used by State Agencies in five different states to offer provider information and
care resources to families that have infants with hearing disabilities.
I designed and wrote all of these hosted, web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, Flex and Ajax in the user
interfaces and connecting to Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL databases using ColdFusion 9. I have also worked on projects with
Oracle databases. I have a good knowledge of SOAP and REST web services. All applications are object oriented/ColdFusion
component based. I am familiar with the ColdSpring, Model-Glue and FW/1 ColdFusion frameworks.

Information Technology Director/Application Developer – Managed the Information Technology program and staff for 100,000-
member professional association. Planned, organized and directed the delivery of services in support of the organizational strategic
goals and objectives. Designed and developed database driven applications for association use.
I excel in the efficient and cost-effective application of technology to business processes. While at WEAC I created a very popular
public website, a secure member’s only website and a staff intranet all using a custom Content Management System and utilizing a
Microsoft SQL Server database on the backend. I also designed and created a thirty station computerized polling application, e-
commerce applications, a computerized membership application for 100,000+ members and a political action application that
managed over 2,000,000 records.
Related Accomplishments
• Statewide Voter Database – Created an internet accessible application to allow staff in multiple sites to access and work
with WEAC’s 2.1 million record voter database. The Voter Database application was used to facilitate contact with voters,
to maintain voting histories and to conduct get out the vote operations.
• OnWEAC (http://www.weac.org) – I created WEAC’s public website in 1996. In 2000, I rebuilt the backend using a
Content Management System I designed in ColdFusion so that staff throughout the organization could contribute content
to the site. Because the site eventually was accessed by over 4,000 people per day, WEAC was able to eliminate its print
publications and save a considerable amount of money in printing and postage costs.
• iMIDAS (interactive Membership Information Data Analysis System) – I designed, built and implemented this secure
web-based, membership enrollment and activity tracking application. iMIDAS produced considerable cost-savings by
eliminating paper processing of membership forms. It also allowed WEAC to maintain information about member
political activities, increasing our advocacy effectiveness.
• Regional Technology Cooperative – In 2002, I created a cooperative of education organizations from seven Midwestern
states. The cooperative standardized information technology processes, created best practices, shared application code, and
defined security protocols that allowed staff in one organization to provide support to other coop member networks and
users. By pooling our financial and human resources, we were able to reduce Information Technology expenditures,
reduce the number of new IT hires and implement secure, hosted, web-based applications available to all cooperative
members.
