Responsible for make ready setup and operate high speed printing press

by checking the layout that the unit will be running, inspect machinery

for adjustments, start the run, ensure that the proper rolls of paper is

used for each job and installed properly, sets the ink and the water,

make pasters, set margins, change printing plates and blankets. Monitor

operation for proper printing of color, number sequencing, errors,

dates, adjust rollers and check quality to keep spoilage to a minimum.

Monitors the flow of paper throughout run and prepares, loads feeder and

adjusts feeder when necessary. Perform routine preventive maintenance

on machinery by take out, replace and reset pickup rollers, transfer

rollers, water rollers and ink rollers. Make necessary machinery

repairs, identify and trouble-shoot press problems. Remove any ink left

in the printer, wash and grease rollers and clean surface.
