Work Experience:
Metro PCS, San Francisco, CA March 2010 – Nov 2012
RF Engineer (Sub-Cont Ericson)
Responsibilities:
A weekly meeting with RF, RAN, Core, business engineers to understand the time line.
Involved in Optimizing the MetroPCS network in San Francisco Market.
Worked very closely with E-TRAN, Core engineers and Rf Engineers.
Trained 50 plus new Drive Test engineers on using TEMS Investigation to perform RF
Shakedown and Accessibility Test and Retainablity Test Cluster Drives.
Working as a Point of Contact for all the metroPCS LTE RF Shakedowns. This involved
planning, coordinating Drive Test teams for the RF Shakedown clusters and Optimization.
Making Assignments for the DT teams in Excel using V-lookup
Worked on wind catcher, Actix and TEMS Discovery for Analyzing and Optimizing the
network.
Created project template and load TEMS log files on TEMS Discovery Spotlight.
Log files analysis-Swap sector, SC Inconsistency check analysis, Azimuth verification and
Sector Coverage.
Pilot pollution Analysis- Identifying polluting cells.
Over-Propagating Cell Identification.
Optimizing DAS site rectifying the issues and Trouble shooting
Drop call Analysis- Drop call causes due Missing Neighbors, Handover issues, DL
Coverage issues, UL Coverage issues, Overshooting pilots, Cell re-selection issues, SC
collisions, Inter RNC Handover issues and Hardware Issues.
Performed extensive RF shake down drives and Stationary throughput tests on metroPCS
LTE network built by Ericsson in the Dallas, Detroit, Philadelphia and Los Angeles San
Francisco markets.
Performed Cluster drives for Accessibility and Retain ability tests on metroPCS LTE
network built by Ericsson in the Dallas, Detroit, Philadelphia and Los Angeles San Francisco
markets.
Performed Post Processing of the TEMS Investigation drive logs for analysis to verify RF
coverage, Azimuth verification and throughput verification.
Performed Site Audit to verify the hardware configuration for swapped sector
troubleshooting etc.
Performed Power measurement of radios on site using Dummy load and Site Master.
Trained metroPCS RF Engineers on using TEMS Investigation to perform RF
Shakedowns. This involved detailed description of all the tools and settings required for
example the requirement of Samsung Connection Manager to support the use ability of
Samsung UE.
.
