Value Steaming Manager

I was in charge of eliminating waste throughout the company, both in the office and field. Daily meetings were held to resolve problems on multiple jobsites. I helped facilitate jobs and cut time and material losses by implementing a “kitting” process. I oversaw all jobsites and helped foreman with job staging and material ordering to ensure tasks were completed in an efficient and precise manner. In this position, it was necessary that I build a relationship with the General Contractors by making sure we were doing what was being asked. I also provided our schedule to the General Contractors to ensure the jobsite would be ready for us to complete our tasks efficiently. While onsite I was also in charge of making sure the jobsite was safe and all our employees as well as other contractors were working in a safe manner. I made sure to bring any safety issues to the General Contractor.

Jobsite Foreman Electrician

As a foreman I was in charge of installing a buildings electrical system including Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control, A/C units, lighting, carbon monoxide sensors, and communication systems. I managed a crew of 4-10 men, ordered material, completed daily reports and photographed daily progress, held safety coordination meetings and made sure everything was code compliant. Time management was a crucial part of my position. Below is a list of each project I was a Jobsite Foreman with a description of additional work required for that specific job.

240 3rd Street Offices – New Construction, Palo Alto, CA

240 3rd Street Offices had 2 floors with retail and office space and a 5000 square foot penthouse. There was also a two story underground parking garage that had exhaust fans throughout with VFD drivers.

San Carlos Waste Facility Transfer Station/Recology Recycle Facility – Remodel/New Construction, San Carlos, CA

At San Carlos Waste Facility, I powered 3 phase 480 volt rooftop fans that were controlled though a motor control center. I was required to work on knuckle boom lifts, above traffic, in a safe manner throughout the remodel. I installed signal lights for traffic, and power for truck scales.

Greenfield Civic Center and Police Station/Jail Core, Greenfield, CA

I installed a security system for the entire police station that included interior and exterior surveillance cameras. I also installed an access control system with a parking lot loop system. This project was particularly difficult due to the fact that it was located in a remote location, 220 miles away from our shop. All material was delivered from our shop so it was imperative that my material lists were complete and precise.

Service Department Technician

As a Service Technician, I was dispatched to jobs daily that needed to be done during store or office hours, which meant completing my work without interrupting the clients’ daily operations. I repaired and installed minor electrical systems including but not limited to; A/C units, UPS systems, electrical outlets, lighting, light ballasts, and transformers. I completed a list of materials used for each job and completed a work order that was signed by the customer. I was required to keep my company van clean and keep up vehicle maintenance, inside and out, as well as complete a vehicle checklist on a monthly basis. I maintained a neat and clean working environment to ensure that I was representing myself and my company in a professional manner.
