Working on the project related to civil and military applications.

Project: Automatic Runway and Target detection

- Implemented a MATLAB based algorithm to detect Runway and Target

from landing aircraft using onboard color camera

- Implemented a C++ algorithm using MS-Visual studio for the same MATLAB

program to speed up the simulation for the real time application.

- Implemented a C++ program using openGL graphical library to display

the images.

Summary: Automatic target recognition (ATR) deals with detection of

targets, feature extraction and identification/classification using

sensors such as color camera, forward looking infrared, millimeter wave

radar etc. ATR processes images or/and other information such as range,

azimuth, elevation, acoustic signals from sensors to determine the target

location, types and identity etc. This report presents a scheme to detect

the runway and target on runway using color camera onboard an aircraft

while landing. The approach consists of horizon detection, reduction of

runway search space, runway detection/tracking, target detection, and

tracking. The methodology is validated using data from engineering

simulator

Thesis Title: A Video Coding Scheme Based on Joint Spatiotemporal and

Adaptive Prediction

Summary: Proposed a Video Coding Scheme that departs from traditional

Motion Estimation/DCT frameworks and instead uses Karhunen-Loeve

Transform (KLT)/Joint Spatiotemporal Prediction framework. In Particular,

a novel approach that performs joint spatial and temporal prediction

simultaneously is introduced. It bypasses the complex H.26x interframe

techniques. Because of the advantage of the effective joint prediction

and the image-dependent color space transformation (KLT), the proposed

approach is demonstrated experimentally to consistently lead to improved

video quality and in many cases to better compression rates.

Thesis Title: Advanced Automatic Crash Notification Using GSM Technology

Summary: In a critical situation many vehicles faces accident, due to

this lot of person lost their lives. After that accident also some life

can be saved but due to lack of information, time, and place. Our project

will provide an optimum solution to that draw back. According to this

project hen a vehicle met with an accident immediately the vehicle number

and persons contact number will be transferred to police control room or

a rescue team. Based on the conformation necessary action will be taken.

This can be done by wireless system or GSM Technology.
