HIGHLIGHTS OF EXPERIENCE
Patrol Coastal Maintenance Support Team Two, Virginia Beach, VA
May 2010-Sep 2012
Electrical Technician/Calibration Technician
. Provided preventive/corrective maintenance and technical support to ten
Patrol Coastal Class Ship on all electrical power distribution systems, and
shipboard calibration. Managed electrical preventive maintenance program,
provide comprehensive electrical support to ship crewmen, installing
transformers, circuit breaker, relays, and tank level indicators. As
calibration coordinator was responsible for over 300 electrical and
mechanical gauges to be calibrated to ensure the successful and on time
completion of Sea Trails of five Patrol Coastal Class Ships.
. Acting as Ship Supervisor for 3 out of 10 ships, Coordinated 100
maintenance jobs during shipyard availability. Isolated and repaired six
faults on main engine Logic Controller. Worked alongside qualified
electrical engineering contractors troubleshooting various shipboard
equipment, operational test and calibration of generator shut down
safeties. Tested, troubleshoot and replaced numerous circuit cards, and
diodes for electrical mimic panel. Rewired fire pump motor controller due
to electrical fire. Replace transformers, magnetic contactor, fuses, and
all associated damage wiring.
USS CARL VINSON, Newport News, VA
Feb 2008-May 2010
Electrical Technician/ Power Shop Supervisor
. 400 hertz motor generator operator/technician, trained 50 individuals on
the operations and casualty control of the ships 400 hertz motor generator
distribution system. Leading supervisor of 25 individuals supervised all
preventive and corrective schedule maintenance in electrical power shop.
. Qualified Chief Electrical Supervisor, monitoring ships electrical
distribution centers, and auxiliary systems diligently notifying any
abnormal conditions. Extensively troubleshoot Aviation Electrical Service
Stations, Aircraft elevators, degaussing power supply units, and aircraft
hanger bay isolation doors following schematics and wiring diagrams.
. Directly supervised the overhaul and grooming of the ship #1 400 hertz
special frequency motor generator, replacing slip rings, brushes, relays,
bus tie breakers and wiring. Troubleshoot and replaced electric motor for
fire pumps and conveyors.
NEGB, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
Jan 2007-Feb 2008
Electrical Technician
. Wired facilities and living quarters, replace minor electrical components
"I.e." switches, transformers, and lighting circuits. Troubleshoot
buildings Ac, heater, and refrigeration units.
USS Typhoon, Virginia Beach, VA
