Hutchinson FTS, Inc-Livingston, TN.
Hutchinson is a manufacturer of automotive a/c components and
assemblies. Our customers include Chrysler, Mercedes, Honda and Nissan.
Senior Manufacturing Engineer - June 1993 to January 2012
Responsibilities currently include all engineering activities for the
Chrysler RT Minivan platform with annual sales in excess of $30 million.
Concentrated efforts have been focused to ensure adherence to overall
manufacturing systems. We strive to have a work environment that promotes
communication, cooperation, consistency, safety and a continuous
improvement environment that is value driven. Responsible for all platform
quoting activities which include cost estimating. Also have responsibility
for platform launches and specifying, purchasing and approving capital
equipment and tooling.
Operations Manager - July 1990 - May 1993
Responsibilities included the operation of a 90,000 ft2 facility that
produces assemblies for the Chrysler Minivan platform with annual
sales in excess of $55 million. I managed over 240 employees on three
shifts - including operators, mfg. technicians, supervisors, and
engineers. Achieved the "Pentestar Award" from Chrysler for Quality
and Delivery for the 1991 model year.

Nuturn is a manufacturer of automotive friction materials (Brake
pads).
Manufacturing Process Engineer - June 1987 - June 1990
Responsible for process improvements in the lining department
including process flow improvements, time studies and new equipment
installation.
United technologies - Carrier Corporation - McMinnville, TN.
Carrier is a manufacturer of industrial and commercial HVAC units.
Senior Manufacturing Engineer - June 1979 - May 1987
Responsibilities included:
Responsible for new product drawing review, manufacturing process
route sheets, layout of equipment and time studies. Implemented a
control box progressive assembly line to reduce labor by $200,000 per
year.
