Temporary assignment assisting in the development of recycled plastic bird
feeders and other new products. Developed and introduced three exciting
new designs for Bird's Unlimited, a major retailer in the bird watching
industry including the tail prop suet feeder. Helped to find source in
China resulting in a 24% savings in parts cost on certain feeders. Re-
designed products making them more cost efficient for manufacturing.
Eliminated certain designs in product assembly, making assembly easier
while reducing manufacturing cost.
HYDRODYNE SYSTEMS, LLC., Milford, OH 2003 -2009
A privately held $1.3M manufacturer of hand-held, precision instruments for
testing chemical content of water for drinking and waste water plants;
established in 1989. Negotiated a 75% share in business but ended up
selling it later through a divorce.

Developed infrastructure and created strategic business and marketing plans
comparable to start-up effort.
. Eliminated several underperforming but costly instrument options,
thereby reducing on-hand inventory and manufacturing complexity.
