Event Coordinator, 2009 to 2010

Developed and organized Celebrate Regner, a three day event to commemorate the West Bend

parks 75th anniversary. Lead the team in initial planning, fundraising, media relations, and

marketing for the event. Responsibilities included talent recruitment for two stages as well as a

series of roving entertainers. Managed support personnel and volunteers in areas of security,

hospitality, and facilities management. Organized special activities for event such as juried fine

art and craft vendors, car show, en’plein air art competition, Guinness World Record attempt for

“Largest Thriller Dance”.

The Guinness World Record attempt gained coverage through local media, and was shown

nationally and internationally through the Associated Press.

The event was attended by an estimated 21,000 people and generated more than $110,000 in

revenue for the city.

Celebrate Regner was awarded the 2011 National Recreation and Park Association Gold Medal

Award for Excellence and the 2011 Wisconsin Park and Recreation Association Silver Star

Award.
