Project : 2007 engine installation
To meet the EPA 2010 norms, Diesel emissions bound to be controlled
through ongoing modification to engine design, and second the use of
add-on controls that treat the diesel exhaust. As the NOx is to be
reduced right in the cylinder, with still higher rates of EGR and a
larger cooling required. Decided by client to shift to ACERT i.e. use a
different form of EGR called CGI "Clean Gas Induction" initiate the
modification required in all technology area of truck.

Responsibilities:
. Repositioning the Turbocharger, exhaust elbow, Flex pipe and
DPF.
. Designing Heat Shield, Front partial, Rear partial and tail
pipe to accommodate modification.
. Positioning of EGR, SCR, and ADBLUE Tanks, designing their
Mounting brackets.
. Installation Drawing of Entire Exhaust Layout. Exhaust pipes
for different After treatment exhaust configuration like
Independent Exhaust, inboard, outboard Exhaust, RH under
Exhaust and Horizontal Exhaust, Exhaust mounting brackets and
shield assembly Drawings.
. Optimized Solution for installation various components like

valve cover and oil pan by analyzing dynamic clearances with

. Engine position finalization and dynamic roll over study of
engine.

like firewall mounted, single/dual cowl mounted and Engine
