RAC rents household furniture and electronics and acquired TRS, a consumer-financing company serving major retailers in the
furniture industry. RAC Acceptance, a division of RAC, provides credit to partner customers with poor or no credit histories.
Regional Director RAC Acceptance
Directed all operations – 50-80 finance offices and 7-8 collections centers in three states with P&L
accountability. Region comprised up to 230 employees and generated $16.8M annually. Finance offices
were inside stores of retail partners such as Rooms To Go, Ashley Furniture, and Value City.
Drove the performance of 8 district managers, who were each responsible for 8-10 finance offices
and one collection center. Recruited, trained, and developed District Mangers; guiding them in
staffing and managing their districts, resolving problems, and improving profitability.
Analyzed monthly P&L to determine reasons for variances and developed solutions to correct when
appropriate. Reviewed audits and asset protection to review District Mangers’ ability to assist and
correct any deficiencies.
Ensured that District Managers effectively supervised store management to meet regional goals and
expectations by planning, organizing, and delegating tasks. Monitored District Mangers with attention
to how well they were implementing and following up on key initiatives.
Collaborated with retail partners to implement and enhance new sales processes (face-to-face and
telemarketing) that raised accountability / participation of both RACA and its retail partners. Results:
improved sales conversions by 20%.
Worked closely with business development to identify potential retail partners for the RACA financial
program. Through these efforts, multiple ownership groups were added to roster and successful
partnerships started.
Consistently met or exceeded regional goals for account / revenue growth, loss minimization, cost
control, and collections standards. No. 2 region, among 16, in profitability (Q1, 2012). No. 3 in
profitability (2011).
District Manager TRS Inc.
Managed 14 finance offices in NC, SC, VA, RI within partner stores and up to 35 employees.
Accountable for district P&L. Annual revenue: $2.9M.
Lead all recruiting, hiring, and training in district. Compiled and reviewed all performance appraisal
reviews for staff. Through these efforts, developed a district of dynamic and dedicated employees.
Promoted quickly from Level II to Level I DM after taking the NC/SC District from lowest performance
(among 16) to No. 3. Added VA/RI District and a Level II DM. Raised performance from No. 15 to
No. 5 via effective use of state legal systems, proper sales / collections training, and timely field
collections.
Developed a district of store managers that achieved all P&L objectives, sales plans, and maintained
excellent customer service. Coached and promoted three sales managers to DM positions.
Managed over 3 million dollars in reposed merchandise. Audited once a quarter 100 storage units to
ensure compliance.
Worked with internal audit and created excel spreadsheets used to track sales progress and to help
minimize accounts lost to charge-off. Through efforts, company loses were cut 35% year over year.

Managed a total of 5 offices (each with 2-5 employees) during this period, each office maintained 750-
1,000 accounts.
Consistently hit sales and collections targets. Hired as Assistant Sales Manager; promoted to Sales
Manager in 3 months; relocated four times to turn around troubled offices.
