Explora is a young and small company, focused on the biodiesel production, located in Puerto Gral San Martín, Santa Fe – Argentina.

Main Activities:

R&D and Basic Engineering for a brand new unit devoted to the glycerine concentration. Mass and Energy Balance performed. Design and sizing of several equipments. Development of P&IDs, PFDs and Datasheets of equipments and instruments.

R&D and Basic Engineering for the Unit revamp up to 320 KTPY. Mass and Energy Balance performed. Design and sizing of several equipment. Development of P&IDs, PFDs and Datasheets of equipments and instruments.

Technical Support for troubleshooting in different process areas.

Follow-up, optimisation, debottlenecking analysis, and technical support to operative and commercial areas.

Project main duties:

Prepare process flow diagrams, material and heat balances and lists of major equipment.

Design P&IDs, prepare and issue instrument, equipment, heat exchange and rotating equipment data sheets.

R&D of a Vegetable Oil Based Lubricant Plant. Analysis of several raw materials and plant configurations.

Biodiesel plants assessment and technical support.

Since 01-12-2003 until 30-10-2009. Process Engineering for Petrobras – San Lorenzo Refinery.

Process Engineering in Topping, Vacuum and Cracking Units.

Conceptual Engineering for de-bottlenecking and optimisation projects.
