Accomplishments
Assisted Wright Industries, in transforming to a more stringent Regulatory
project company to meet customer's demands and regulatory flow downs and to
pass internal and external audits. During employment with Wright Ind. from
2008-2012, maintained several Regulatory and Non-Regulatory projects, which
included working with DOE, DOD, TVA, and other major companies in
fulfilling their project requirements. This involved working on Quality
Level components from QL1 to QL4 using NQA-1 Quality Program process.
Assembled, debugged, and tried out, On-Time-Delivery, budget controls,
provided superior Customer Relations during Die Tryout when Project
Management was unavailable. Was responsible for distributing merit raises
and preform annual written employee evaluations. Worked and communicated
very closely as team members consisting of Tool and Die Manager, Project
Managers, Die Design Supervisor, Tool & Die Designer's, Machinist and
Diemaker's.
Assisted in the increase of On-Time-Deliveries from 67% to 95%, which
brought back many valuable returning customers. Assisted the Programming
department on implementation of creating faster, safer, and more efficient
programs for the CNC machinist. Created setup and safety procedures and
policy to help create a safer pressroom, during the debug phases and
customer run-offs.
Increased the Manufacturing process of details, by 50%. This was
accomplished by researching for better tooling, stronger cutters, and by
having Machine tool companies come in for informational lunch and learns
with the machinist and programmers to give the machinist's a better
understanding of what their cutting tools were capable of machining. Set
goals to Hard Cut Mill different materials types, from 45 to 62 Rc, and was
successful in achieving this goal in materials such as 4140, 6150, O1, O2,
CC1, A2, A6, D2, P20, and DC10 steels.
Increased the volume of dies built per man from one to as many as two or
three at a time, depending on the tooling complexity by methods of
organization and standardization.
As a Tool & Die Apprentice at Wright Ind., was recognized to begin the
planning, layout and building process of simple to complex dies within 4
months of initial hire date, and continued to build special tools,
machines, and dies for the next 6 years on the bench.

limited to; building and modifying several different types of dies, Multi
Stage Progressives, Draws, Trim and Pierce, Forms, Flange, Extrude and Cam

Manufacturing Shop Supervisor

In 2008, Wright Industries underwent several changes, due to the Tool & Die
business forecast. Per the request of the upper management team recognizing
my past experience and skill sets, they requested for me to join the
Manufacturing team and positioned me into the Manufacturing Shop
Supervisor. Management's request was to assist in transforming the
Manufacturing Team into a profitable organization. The Manufacturing Shop
Supervisor responsibilities included but were not limited to the following:
Manufacturing & Machining, Weld & Fabrication, De-burr, Special Process,
and Painting. The employee numbers varied from 60 to 45 employees,
depending on backlog forecast. This position's responsibilities included
Staff monitoring, Workload, Safety, Quality, Planning, Execution, On-Time-
Delivery, Budget constraints, Customer Relations during the manufacturing
process, accounted for any scrap details by using Non-Conformances forms to
generate cause and process improvement process. Responsible for determining
merit raises per team member, and preform annual written employee
evaluations. The Manufacturing processes consisted of several types of work
including; Regulatory, Non-Regulatory, and Build to print projects. As an
organization the team worked and communicated very closely with each
project team consisting of Regulatory and Non-Regulatory Business Unit
Managers, Project Managers, Programmers, Planners, Quality, and Outside
Contractors to achieve superior project goals.
Tool and Die Foreman
1996 - 2008
In 1996, was promoted to the Tool & Die Foreman's position for one of the
Largest Tool & Die companies in the Southeast for 11 years at Wright Ind.
Responsibilities included but were not limited to the following; over
seeing a complete staff of Leadsman, CNC Programmers (2D & 3D) Planning
Coordinator, Tool & Die Makers, and Machinist. These numbers varied from 65
to 45 employees, depending on backlog forecast. Responsibilities included;

In 1991, Wright Ind. Was promoted to the position of Planning Coordinator /
Leadsman position, which included overseeing 10-12 Machinist on both 1st
and 2nd shifts. Responsibilities included Safety Implementation; Itemized
detailed planning of machining processes of individual details, Machining
Execution, Delivery Schedules of details, and work within quoted budget.
Recommended Machinist's merit raises and assisted in the employee's annual
performance evaluations.
Planning Coordinator Tool and Die
1989 - 1991
In 1989, was promoted to a Tool & Die Leadsman, which included overseeing 8-
10 Tool Makers. Responsibilities included Safety, Planning, Die Build
Execution, Debug, Tryout, On Time Delivery, Budget, and Customer Relations
during Die Tryout. Recommended merit raises and assisted in the employee's
annual performance evaluations.

1983-1989
Responsibilities at Wright Industries, was to work closely with other
Journeyman Tool & Die Makers to gain the experience and knowledge of
building complex Tool & Dies.
