(The paper discusses the various aspects of carbon credit, how various countries are under the bindings of the Kyoto Protocol, carbon trading between developed and developing countries, carbon trading in India etc. The paper also discusses the various criticisms the carbon credit trading is facing especially cases where it has been observed that some organizations are paying for emissions reductions that do not take place and in certain other cases, organizations profit by selling credits for environmental projects they would have undertaken anyway. If somehow the various gaps in carbon crediting could be covered, it will be a very good solution towards this major problem of global warming which has already started executing its impact worldwide.)
