I have a 30 year work history starting in 1972 when I joined the US Navy where I served
onboard ships in three home ports, Hawaii, Long Beach, CA and San Diego, Ca. When was
honorably discharged in 1977 I worked for a few months on the family farm and for Rock Island
Railroad. In April 1978 I began work at the University of Kansas as a Preventive Maintenance
Plumber and was promoted to Maintenance Engineer and worked in this position until October
1983. My next job was with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks starting as a State
Park Ranger at Cedar Bluffs State Park in 1984 and ended as a Conservation Officer Boating
Enforcement Specialist in July 1996. July 1996 I began working for the TMHC Services as the
training coordinator and was promoted to Manager of Training and Collection services, my
duties included training contracted employer’s employees and supervisors about drug and
alcohol testing programs and employee assistance programs. I also trained contracted collection
sites for compliance with rules and regulations concerning drug and alcohol testing. I also
supervised staff at the company collection site in Topeka for 18 months and provided mobile
specimen collections and breath alcohol testing for clients. My employment with TMHC
Services ended December 2011. I am currently owner operator of a laser engraving service.
