CHEF Int'l is a Non-Governmental Organization working with an aim to

provide high quality, affordable and sustainable comprehensive health and

education services, including the rehabilitation of disable persons through

integrated approach including total quality management. Also it has an

experience with providing health care services along with rehabilitation of

earthquake affected people. I shifted from Pakistan Institute of Community

Ophthalmology (PICO), to CHEF International as a Programme Officer with a

project in hand "Field Hospital, Batagram, (Which I established right after

1 month of earthquake to provide quality health services to the affected

people of earthquake. Building infrastructure, provision of all medical &

technical equipments and running till date). Later on I started working on

new projects like implementation of 4 District's Eye Care Programme in

D.H.Q. Hospitals in Pakistan. Also the member of the Executive Committee of

CHEF International, Peshawar.

Major Projects in (PICO & CHEF Int'l)

o As Programme Officer for Restoration of Health Care Facility in

Earthquake affected area, Batagram. (Field Hospital, Batagram), funded

by LIGHT FOR THE WORLD, AUSTRIA & CBM, GERMANY with Aid to Leprosy

Patients (ALP, Rawalpindi) as the Co-partners in running the Eye

Department along with the Health Department, Government of NWFP.

o As Programme Officer District Comprehensive Eye Care Programme

(DCECP): The DCECP is LIGHT FOR THE WORLD, AUSTRIA funded four

districts Programme;

o Batkhela,

o Hangu,

o Tank &

o Shangla

Establishing Eye Units in all the above mentioned DHQ Hospitals,

refurbishment of infrastructure, provision of Medical/Technical

Equipments along with Medicines & Consumables, Capacity building of Staff

of the Eye Unit, monitoring & Evaluation, quarterly reporting to the

donors and Headquarters.

o As Acting Programme Manager National, Community Vision Center (CVC):

Prepared Project Proposal and Piloted 'Community Vision Centres in

Shabqadar' and replicating it in Takhtbhai.

o As Acting Programme Manager, Institute for Blind Girls, Peshawar: This

project is funded by Dark & Light. Institute for Blind Girls is the

only educational institute in Peshawar for the Blind Girls of the

Area.

o As Acting Programme Manager National, all the communications and

issues regarding donors and other stake holders.

o As Senior Programme Officer, Comprehensive Disability Programme: This

project is funded by CBM Germany, to run a Comprehensive Cross

Disability Programme (Ear Care, Physical Disability, Eye Care & Mental

Health).

o Survey done in NWFP on service provision for Physical

Disability. Facilitating in establishing an Orthopedic Workshop

for Physically Disabled Children in Alfarabi School, Islamabad

under Office of Director General Special Education, Islamabad.

o As Senior Programme Officer, Inclusive Education Programme funded by

LIGHT FOR THE WORLD-AUSTRIA, CBM-Germany & D&L Blind Care.

o Inclusive Education, Skardu.

o Inclusive Education, Peshawar.

o Inclusive Education, Batagram.

Started Inclusive education Programme for the children suffering from

cross disability.

o As Emergency Coordinator & Sr. Programme Officer, Programme for IDPs

at Mardan (General Hospital) & Takhtbai (Eye Hospital).

o Established General Hospital in the record time of one month and

providing free medical OPD to the IDPs along with a detailed

OUTREACH plan.

o Established Eye Hospital in the record time of one month and

provided eye care services along with the cataract surgeries for

IDPs and general public.

Over all Roles & Responsibilities

o Develop the activities time framework/action plan for all the project

areas.

o Arrange the training of for Human Resource Development.

o Monitor trainings arranged for human resource development at all

districts

o Assist the Programme Manager in the development, implementation and

reporting.

o Assist in the evaluation and selection of both pre- and full project

proposals.

o Undertake key responsibilities in relation to support services for

selected projects.

o Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of projects.

o To prepare reports/submissions for the Programme Manager for presentation

to the meetings, executive committee and various bodies.

o Assist with the development and execution of projects.

o Survey, visit and select suitable site for the projects to be

implemented.

o Renovate/refurbish the infrastructure for D.H.Q. Hospitals if needed.

o Ensure the proper project management.

o Arrange supplies of consumables for the required projects.

o Monitor all the activities of the project areas

o Prepare and submit interim, quarterly and yearly reports to the

Secretariat and donors regarding project area's activities.

o Monitoring Financial Flows of the programme.

o Visit all the project sites' and submit the visit report to Programme

Manager, CEO & donors.

o Submitting the weekly, monthly and 6 monthly reports.

o Arrange the yearly meeting of CEC Programme.

o Advocacy with Government Personnel regarding Inclusive Education and

Comprehensive Disability Programme for Cross Disability.

o Lead the team of Doctors and other paramedical staff along with the

project officers in implementation and reporting.
