PROFILE

Retired military officer with over 35 years with the Department of Defense. Encompassed by various talents in security operations, training, civil military relations, property control, and quality assurance. As well as, human resource management/administration, and overseeing of the budgeting and acquisition of equipment/supplies.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experienced trainer, leader with outstanding strategic, technical, and organizational leadership skills. Functioned as the Program Manager for the Provincial Reconstruction team (PRT) in the city of Najaf Iraq. In this capacity oversaw, 35 constructions projects. Was instrumental in developing contracts and implementing said contracts.

• Unit Training Officer: Served as the unit’s trainer for a period of 4 years, taught basic weapons drills; drill and ceremony; annual training requirements: Combating Terrorism, Biometrics Training, Combat Stress and Suicide Prevention, Rule of Law, Geneva Convention, Driver Safety, First Aid and CPR. In 2003 was responsible for overseeing all TRADOC mandatory training.

• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer services by assessing customer needs, meeting quality, safety standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction. Served as the Reserve Liaison Office and one of the senior US Civil Military Operations (CMO) Planners to the GCC Commander. Provided Combine Operational Guidance for the Republic of Korea (ROK) and US Forces under the operational control of the GCC Commander. Was instrumental in developing, coordinating reviews of operational (CMO) Plans for use by the alliance forces. Responsible for the synchronization of CMO activities particularly CMO Mobile Training Team (MTT) within the Third Republic of Korea Army (TROKA) and the first Republic of Korea Army (FROKA) commands. Coordinated unclassified planning with IO's, NGO's and ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff.

• Responsible for planning, setting, and adjusting short-term priorities. Prepare schedules, assign work to subordinates; evaluate work performance of subordinates; give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters; interview candidates for positions in the unit; recommend appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such positions; hear and resolve complaints from employees; effect minor disciplinary measures; identify developmental training needs of employees. Maintained the combat readiness, health, welfare, morale and professional development of 7 soldiers. Ensure the operational readiness of 2 tactical vehicles, 10 individual and crew served weapons, 6 communications systems and equipment valued over $ 1 million. Provided support to Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) in the form operations, administration, logistics, communications, and Civil Affairs (CA) expertise.

• During deployments in Iraq was instrumental in recruiting for Iraqi police force, conducted interviews for interpreters. As a Civil Affairs Team Leader created a list of requirements needed to being successful as an interpreter for the US Army Commander.

• As the Program Manager conducted face to face interviews with local contractors, was instrumental in developing the scope of work, a decision matrix used to select the contractor, managed the payment scheduled, conducted field visits to monitor work and insure it was proceeding according to plan.

• As a Civil Affairs Team Leader have provided training dealing with all levels of management needs requirements which equipped the members of my team with the tools needed to be successful. Prepares ratings on individual soldiers, provided individual soldiers with information on the company.
