Accomplishments:

I was assigned to interpret for a Fulani speaking women, a new

immigrant from West Africa by a medical team of doctors at Harborview

Medical Center in Seattle Washington. This patient presented a variety

of medical complaints including depression and suicidal tendencies.

Through my accurate interpretation from FULANI to ENGLISH and

ENGLISH to FULANI, the doctors were able to diagnose her conditions

related to “ Post Traumatic Stress Disorder”. I was also the interpreter on

this case for six months following her through psychiatric counseling

therapy.

A Gambian man who spoke only MANDINKA was arrested by Seattle

Police and jailed for six months. I was assigned to interpret on this case

in Municipal Court. During the hearing it was determined that the police

had arrested an innocent man, the wrong target. He was released without

charges, the language barrier being his only offense.

Accomplishments: The farmers who sought my technical advise on

crop management and pest control were able to increase their crop

production, thus food supplies. My management skills and expertise in

Agriculture helped lower hunger for hundreds of thousands of villages in

Senegal.
