As a Designer I collaborated with the head Engineer and our Research & Development
staff to create after market or and on heating and air conditioning units. These units were
mounted on school buses, tour buses, and other commercial vehicles. My main
responsibilities were to create Solidworks models, assemblies, and detail drawings of all
the parts required to complete the production and assembly of these units. These parts
included purchased parts, sheet metal mounting bracket and housings, and some plastic
duct work and covers. I also wrote process sheets use by the production staff for assembly
instructions.

As a Sr. Designer (11 yrs.) m y responsibilities included c reating detail and assembly drawings
in c ooperation with other Engineering s taff. This provided the production facilities with the
required c omponents and information to m anufacture and assemble our walk-in truck
(Fed-Ex/UPS). These parts included formed s heet m etal, aluminum extrusions, aluminum and
s teel weldments and assemblies. I was also was responsible for writing ECN's to release the
drawings and bills of m aterial for new and revised designs.
As the Drafting Supervisor (8 yrs.) m y responsibilities included m anaging as m any as 10 c ad
drafters workloads, priorities, and s chedules. As s upervisor I helped develop design and
engineering c orporate s tandards, and c heck for approval all ECN's and drawings to c onform to
these s tandards. I was also the primary c ontact for vendors and s uppliers with questions in
regards to our drawings or designs. I also trained our Engineering s taff and m anufacturing group
leaders in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
