CLIENT DESCRIPTION:

provide both personal and commercial insurance to its 20 million customers around the globe. The

core group consists of three regions, UK, International and Emerging Markets, with operations in 27

countries, providing insurance products and services in over 130 countries through a network of

global partners.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lakshmi has great exposure to both L1 and L2 Support with strong exposure to

Business/Underwriting in Insurance as she was directly involved in discussion with the

client’s requirements. Have complete hands on experience in Helpdesk Support.

• Lakshmi ‘s responsibility includes the analysis of the specifications provided by clients and

finding in-scope or out of scope requirements

• She also coordinates with onsite for requirement gathering and scope requirements.

Involved in the following activities:

• She has immense experience in applying patches in the live production environment and also

querying, scripting using SQL and TOAD in the Live Production Database. All Major

configurations involving Premium Rate calculations were done with much ease at a very fast

pace.

• Reviewing the Functional specification document and Technical Design documents.

• She has an expert level knowledge in the functional flow of the application and supported

the team throughout the project.

• She has good exposure to Full build, deployment in the live production servers.

• She has good knowledge of using VPN, Lotus notes and working in a client/server

environment.

• She has in-depth knowledge in the Rules and Rating Engine and also Claims Processing in

Auto insurance along with the all the other flow of insurance policy including policy

cancellation, endorsements, premium calculation, transfer of a policy from one customer to

another etc

• She was one of the key members in the team and was the point of contact at offshore for the

client through phone calls, emails. She has a good rapport with the clients and had gained

their confidence.

• She was mentor for the new joiners of the team and guided them in business perspective and

technical as well by conducting Knowledge Transfer sessions and educated them to

approach complex issues reported by clients/customers in a positive way.

Was also directly involved in design, coding, implementation and Server set up in live Production

environment using the experience in the field of Information Technology specializing on Java.

Testing of the GUI and Locking defects/issue, Preparing Test Cases and Preparation of weekly and

Monthly SLA to be reported to the client was also done with great enthusiasm.

On the Spot solutions were given for issues/defects reported by customers by clearly understanding

the issue reported over calls and fixed the same through backend using SQL, Toad and was

recognized with immense appreciation for the same. Permanent application fixes were also given

through enhancements in coding and few others through a backend fix by working on Procedures,

Packages etc in SQL.

Was involved in all the Major releases / Roll outs to the customer, followed by 24*7 support over

calls. Single handedly managed weekend supports too.

client and for the Production support given to the client during major releases.

give clear cut solutions. In The SDLC process, have a great interest in the initial requirements

gathering process and Testing Phase and in Final Release.
