Conceptual Aircraft Design Project, New Mexico State University

Developing aerodynamic coefficients, flight dynamics parameters, and performance characteristics of a Long-Range Unmanned Aerial Surveillance Vehicle. Designing parts and assemblies of the aircraft utilizing NX 7.5 and documenting progress reports.

Designed structural parts and assemblies of an Unmanned Aerial Flying Wing using CATIA V5.

Improved its longitudinal stability and reduced its induced drag by designing a C-shaped winglet.

Zodiac Aerospace, Chihuahua, Mexico

Designed a commercial aircraft seat for tourist passengers as part of a worldwide competition using NX 7.5 and NASTRAN, which resulted in the provisional patent No. 61/520,502.

Coordinated the activities of a group of 12 engineering students, attended coordination meetings, and presented concept design updates. Increased knowledge of design requirements planning, project management, and oral presentation skills.

Research Assistant August 2010 to February 2011

Center for Advanced Materials Research, Chihuahua, Mexico

Assisted Dr. Roberto Martínez Sánchez in the research of advanced coating materials utilized in aircraft turbine blades. Performed x-ray diffraction, hardness tests, thermal treatments, and analysis of diffraction data. Coauthored a paper for the 2011 ISMANAM Conference in Gijon, Spain.
