Project 5: Chevron–Texas Tax New Engine
Scope of the project: Development to merge TIPS data for and PRA data to help electronically generate Tax
report via SAP for the State of Texas. Gas accounting data was imported into SAP system by external solution
called TIPS (The Intelligent Plant Solution). During the Texas tax engine migration, this Development helped to

Presentation/Application server, Ran the data validations checks and called the BDC to upload the data into
ztables.
• 12 BDC were submitted covering more than 30 CATTs which improved Quality of data and Turnaround
time
Project 7: Chevron –New Mexico Royalty Process Automation
Scope of the project: Development of a tool that would automate the existing New Mexico Royalty filing process. It

• Analyzed the existing process defined in UNIX scripts(50) and Developed new Data Dictionary Objects (Structures,
data elements and domains), table maintenance
Page 6
• Developed Complex Selection screen to support multiple functionalities, i.e. downloading data from SAP reports,
uploading third party data in custom tables and creating final files in EDI format
• Created SOX compliant custom functionality where reports generated/finalized by state were displayed in ALV and
EDI format and interfacing with EDI using outbound functionality. These reports can be downloaded and directly
uploaded to the State EDI website.
Project 8: Chevron– Statistical Key Figure (SKF) Process automation
Scope of the project: Development of a new tool, replacing existing manual SKF process. SKF data is used by Joint
Interest Accounting for billing overhead, distributing cost, etc to partners. SKF job in PRA captures Well Count data from
the Production Module. This process is a critical part of month end closing activities in PRA and it is executed on 5th
workday of every month. The manual process involved execution of standard SAP transaction O3UPR_SKF, downloading
spool data on local machine in text format, modifying text file data by deleting some unwanted lines and then converting
the file in Excel to sort the data and get rid of junk data. This excel file is then queried in MS Access to create summary file
and sent to user along with original txt file for verification of SKF posted and audit record.
