Work Experience
|HUDSON RPM DISTRIBUTORS LLC, NASHUA, NH |01/2012 - 06/2012 |
|Re-Distribution Supervisor | |
This was a new style of work for me, but gave me excellent experience in
managing people. I had 10 - 15 works under me at any given time. In this I
wrote schedules, dealt with various issues on a daily business, made sure
all work got done efficiently and completely, on top of handling my own
work load and interacting effectively with my own managers. So while this
work was much different than work I have done in the past, I gained a lot
from it. I only left because I was forced into making a decision to come to
California to care for a sick relative.
|Joe's American Bar and Grill, Nashua, NH |11/2010 - 04/2011 |
|Line Chef | |
After working for The Halligan Tavern, going to this kitchen was a lot
easier, but still somewhat of learning curb as with learning all new menus.
I picked it up rather quickly and became one of their main chefs. I was
taking direction from not only the chef but also the other chefs that had
been their awhile. In a high stress in environment such as kitchen getting
along and working well with others is extremely important, in return I have
developed very good people skills as well as on the fly problem solving.
|The Halligan Tavern, Derry, NH |02/2010 - 10/2010 |
|Line Chef | |
This was a gastro pub restaurant, which means we made everything from
scratch, so this was the sharpest learning curb I've had at any other job.
Not having any professional culinary training I had to learn everything at
ounce. But because of my ability to take direction, work well with others,
as well as being able to understand and pick things up quickly I was able
to not only fall into the job easily and proficiently but towards the end
of when I was there, run the kitchen myself.
|The Meat House, Bedford, NH |09/2009 - 02/2010 |
|Butcher | |
This was a rather fun career change, even though it was fairly close to the
job field that I was already in, it gave me a multitude of new experiences.
It was not only a butcher counter but also a something of a small grocery
store, which in return allowed me more experience in working with customers
and ample experience in customer service. As with all my work it was a
sharp learning curb, as I became a master butcher in just about a month and
half. It was a smaller company so it was very manger heavy; having the
owners come in and work with me on a regular basis, taking direction was an
everyday occurrence.
|Weathervane Seafood, Nashua, NH |08/2008 - 08/2009 |
|Line Chef | |
As already having worked for a restaurant coming into this job was an
easier transition but still had a steep learning curb as with all
restaurants because I had to learn the menu quickly. This job was more
about working with managers and taking direction than anything else. I had
to follow the instructions of my head chef very closely as to not make
mistakes. I accomplished two raises, as well as an award for employee of
the month two different times.
|Dynamite Sushi, Hudson, NH |10/2007 - 08/2008 |
|Sushi Chef | |
This was my first introduction to working in a high stress environment
while managing the great number of responsibilities of the job. It was on
job training behind a sushi bar, which meant I had to learn quickly and
efficiently to handle complicated tasks while taking direction as well as
talking and forming a quick relationship with the various customers that
came in.
|Pacific Sunwear, Nashua, NH |03/2007 - 10/2007 |
|Cashier/stocker/greeter | |
My first job working as a cashier, and stock person that allowed me an
introduction in working for managers as well as with customers. Had daily
responsibilities such as money count and floor check, as well as helping
customers and problem solving if something aroused.
