WORK EXPERIENCE:
Agape Counseling and Therapeutic services, INC. February 2010- current Mental Health (CMHS) support specialist. Teach independent living skills/functional skills such as health maintenance, medication management, culinary activities, financial budgeting, clothing care, community access, and safety. Link client to other resources such as but not limited to DSS, HUD, food bank, literacy program, GED, LPC, and or other mental health support.
Massage therapist. March 2004-current part time (weekends). Self employed.
Work with clients that have physical disabilities due to chronic pain or other ailments and clients who suffer from all stages of depression, anxiety and other mood disorders. Teach clients relaxation techniques to decrease depressive and anxiety symptoms.
Receptionist: Bayside Rehabilitation, January2008-February 2009. Answered multi-line phone, check patients in/out, take patient payments, fax/file, enter patient information into the computer, call doctor’s office to verify therapy scripts or to receive referrals. Monitored elderly and physically disabled patients with exercises and assisted them, took BP and monitored blood oxygen levels to make sure proper health was maintained at all times and assisted occupational therapist with autistic children, and children with ADHD and ADD.
Substitute teacher: Northampton County Public Schools, September2007-December 2007. Assist the special needs teacher with students that have learning disabilities and worked one on one with the student that suffered from behavioral disorders and MR.
Receptionist/physical therapy tech: Mosher Physical Therapy, January2006-March 2007. Answer phones, fax/file, daily deposits, enter new patient information into the computer, take patient payments, do laundry, assists physical therapist with the mentally disabled patients while doing exercises and the elderly.
Secretary/Receptionist: Northampton Growers Produce Inc. Summer of 1996- June 2004. Worked in Virginia office as well as Florida office I was in charge of answering a 12 line phone, fax/filing; provide truck drivers delivery orders, keeping inventory on produce coming in/out and daily bank deposits.
