technologies.
WORK EXPERIENCE
1987 - Present INTERGRAPH CORPORATION
Senior System Consultant
Most recent projects:
. SmartPlant Foundation consultant. Technologies used based on .NET (C#,
VB.NET, Web services, XML, Oracle). Work in modeling, workflow,
ServerAPI, Client APIs, etc...
. SmartPlant Foundation 3D .NET classes and implementation.
. SmartPlant P&ID integration with SmartPlant Foundation.
. Taught the Adapter class for customer. The adapter class has to do with
the integration of the tools in the SPF suit of products.
. Created interface for a new software enhancement to migrate data from a
csv format into an SPF system. The system was based on the newest version
of SmartPlant Foundation 4.x.
. I am the lead developer to a new product integrating SmartPlant
Foundation to SAP using .NET, COM, ORACLE (Store Procedures, Triggers,
etc XML, XSLT, Javascripting, HTML, SAP Netweaver. I developed
WebServices, Windows Services and MMCs among other applications. Wrote
test procedures and installation and configuration manuals. I created
training material and traveled to teach on the softwareware.
. I worked in 2 projects for SmartPlant Foundation. Wrote middleware
software using the COM interface in Visual Basic 6.0 to Intergraph
SmartPlant product using their TEF (The Engineering Framework) APIs and
.NET interface using C# and ASP.NET. The main data transform is XML.
Responsible for XSD and XSLT logic. Worked on a SAP integration project.
. ASP.NET on .NET 2005 database web site application using C#.
. PBX over VoIP on SIP using Asterisk technology. Implement GUI using
HTML5/Javascript and using AMI calls to Asterisk server. Asterisk 1.8
runs on Linux Ubuntu 11.06. Dialplan implementation using AGI written in
script and C. Use WireShark to monitor network traffic. Web development
using Dreamweaver.
. Java application in Air force project. Programming java application in
Windows and Sun Solaris as a stand-alone application and inside of IBM
WebSphere. Technologies used: java, J2EE, JSP, DOS scripting, Oracle,
JMS and others. Worked with Sybase Replication Server Technology.
. Java Enterprise Application to merge into one presentation legacy systems
data. Used the J2EE platform programming EJB, servlets, JSP. We are using
IBM WebSphere as the application server and using tools such Visual Age
and VJ++ in the development. I am the lead on the JMS interface.
. Visual Basic interface to MS Access database application. Wrote reports
programmatically formatted into MS Excel.
. Web interface to display jpeg files sequentially on the web browser with
database connectivity. This project needs understanding on Power Builder,
VC++, Visual Basic Active X technology, ASP, ADO and others.
. Communications' Inside Plant application, where equipment is stored
physically according to their location in a building. Information about
the equipment was kept down to the port level using AIM as the database
management system and SmartSketch as the graphical interface. Equipment
was placed in work orders and purchase requisition. I wrote reports
directly from ORACLE using Developer 2000 Report builder from data
extracted and placed in temporary tables using Metaphase methods. I
implemented methods in Metaphase and automation object to facilitate
connectivity to SmartSketch using Visual Basic.
. Validation data on an Excel spreadsheet through OLE automation using
Visual Basic. (3 months)
. Web Application based on ASP using SQL Server 7.0 connectivity through
ADO/ODBC using Full Text Retrieval capabilities and Index Server.
. Worked on Web Applications based on ActiveX controls, VB Scripts, Java
Scripts and ASP, one connecting to AIM as the database through AIM's
automation object and another to an automation object that connects to
ORACLE using ADO/ODBC. AIM is a document management system built on
Metaphase.
Other projects:
Worked on Web Application, which has based on client/server architecture
written in prolog and C and involved an NT service and a CGI interface. The
server ran in both UNIX and NT platforms. I worked on the I/RIS product.
I/RIS is a database-related product that uses Sybase, MS SQL, Oracle and
Informix commercial database on different platforms such as NT, Win95 and
UNIX. Knowledgeable in ODBC and Open Client APIs. Done work on TCP and SNA
interface, troubleshooting using Network snifters and other network tools.
Worked on GUI interfaces using C++, MS SDK libraries and I/Forms a
graphical development tool for UNIX. Created installation programs with
Install Shield. ( 4 years)
Developing automation tools for compiling, linking and delivery of
Intergraph NT software products. Tools are C and C++ programs developed
using Visual C++ and Visual BASIC 5.0 under the Windows NT Operating
System. (6 months)
Technical lead in charge of developing a new software product (Data
Management Librarian). The product was built using mdl (Microstation
Development Language) and Codebase Programming Interface. This document
management product managed cad files in UNIX and MSDOS. It managed files by
storing the files in a secure place. User could check them out in a
controlled manner. The software would scan Microstation and Autocad files
for reference files. I wrote an SQL engine to access Dbase IV like files
using the Codebase Programming Interface. (1 year)
I worked on Intergraph's Network File Management (I/NFM). This was a
Server/Client software package connecting to a database server. Knowledge
of TCPIP APIs and databases. (3 years)
I designed a video tester using the Motorola 68HC11. It generated a
pattern for burn-in of one and two mega pixel monitors, and it checked the
input from the video generator. (6 months)
I worked on an automatic test system to turn workstations on and off
during burn-in using an STD system and relays. The software for the STD
system was written in C. (3 months)
I wrote C programs on VAX for converting and downloading net lists to a
back plane machine format. I also wrote a VAX C program to generate and
download the information to a barcode printer. (6 months)
Previous - SCI SYSTEMS
Electronic engineer
I was a design engineer for a flight test instrumentation system. I was
responsible for the design of telemetry data acquisition subsystems for the
ground support system. These subsystems were designed around the VME Bus
using the Motorola 68000 microprocessor family. I worked on a 40 Megabit
per second data recovery subsystem, which decoded and processed the pulse
coded serial data from the test instrumentation system installed in the
aircraft. (2 years)
I also worked on a programmable 40 Megabit/second PCM generator to be
used as a test device for the data recovery subsystem. I worked on a 15
channel digital to analog converter with a conversion rate of 500,000
samples per second on each channel. I also wrote the software for a high-
speed (10Megabit/sec.) bus tester for the instrumentation system. It was
capable of collecting and displaying 128 user selected data points in logic
analyzer fashion while also checking for system bus faults. Test results
could be displayed for the operator or sent to the ground support computer
via a serial data link. (2 years)
I was also was engineer for the F15 Voice Warning/Radio Control Panel using
the 8748 microprocessor. (3 years)
