I am presently working in the VAMC in the Food Service Area. I have a variety of task to perform on a daily basis. I am responsible for adhering to and serving the various diets plans ordered for inpatients of the VAMC. After receiving my assigned task, it is my responsibility as a team member to set up and maintain the serving line, keeping it neat and orderly as we prepare the individual diet trays to be delivered to the inpatient wards. I must use the proper handling procedures and safety guideline established by the VA for the portion of servings of the individual diet plans ordered. I am sometimes assigned the task of ordering supplies that will be used that day on the line. Also If assigned, I'm responsible for delivering the food carts to the wards and passing the individual tray out to the patients. After the patient are finished eating I return the trays to the cart and bring the carts to the breakdown area where I clean them using the proper procedures.

I was responsible for the computer-aid drafting of telephone cable systems. Shortly after being employed, I became the evening shift supervisor for the CAD department. My responsibilities were to oversee the six CAD operators, giving assignments and answering questions to any potential problems that they experienced. I problem solved any network or server difficulties, and did all the trouble shooting of the software applications as well as maintained the work stations. I was promoted to the Day Shift supervisor approximately seven months later overseeing the work of six CAD operators. Due to numerous upgrades of the software applications, it became apparent that the hardware being used was not adequate for the network, so I advised in the purchase of the new server with work stations, and a faster network hub. After receiving the new hardware, I installed and setup the new network and the back-up for the network. The software applications being used were Windows 2000, AutoCAD2000, Microsoft Office 2000 and Progress 8.1. As the supervisor, it was my duty to review and edit the CAD drawings in order to follow the telephone company's guidelines for the schematics, staking sheets, and the ACS (area cable system) maps, and ACD (area cable design) maps.
