Present
- Perform system maintenance of Meridian-1 Option 81c DC and Support to
the site, including troubleshooting and installations to the Host switch
(SL100) and all remote switching systems, and other telephone systems
and peripheral equipment.
- My position as switch technician was being responsible for the on-site
day-to-day installation, operation, maintenance, and technical support
of the Nortel SL-100 and Meridian Option 81c DC system.
- Support to Switch Subsystems including Call Pilot systems (201i and
1002rp) administration and maintenance.

to meet conditions of T&T contract with the Customer, including
recommendations for customer solutions.

to complete the weekly workload based upon the discretion of my

Quality/Deployment Engineer - Nortel, Richardson, TX

- Perform system evaluations/Quality Audits on installation and
maintenance of Meridian-1 PBX's, Option 11 thru Option 81c, CS1K which
included the verification of AC power and grounding by measuring voltage
in the AC service panel and at the equipment frames. Evaluated the DC
Power plant by verifying DC rectifier's installation, Operation and
Maintenance.
- Reviewed system operation and system software by verifying system
patches and system diagnostics. Also provided training to Distributor
Installation and Maintenance personnel. Report writing with
recommendations for corrective actions. Worked face to face with
critical customers that would include open tickets formal and executive
complaints. Provided technical input to the responsible organizations
regarding product performance and reliability.
- Used the following tools: True RMS digital multi-meter, Clamp-on AC/DC
RMS current probe, Digital camera, laptop computer for maintenance
terminal, (NEC) National Electrical Code manual and Web access to the
Nortel PEP library. Performed site surveys for telecom system
equipment. Also 100% travel to customer sites located in North America,
Canada and Mexico.
- Provided technical assistances troubleshooting power issues. Verified
outside plant cabling and line protection. Nortel certified
Installation Quality Auditor. (Meridian -1) Received numerous customer
satisfaction surveys that exceeded objects.
- Submitted all required expense vouchers and credit card payments within
stated time parameters.
Switch Test Technician - Nortel /Tek Systems, Richardson, TX 1/2004

- Diagnosed and performed corrective and preventative maintenance on DMS
250
- Central office switch. Testing and troubleshooting of the entire DMS
250 CO equipment in the Nortel Lab. Scope of troubleshooting was testing
ENET cabinets, DPCC cabinets, IOC's and SCC switches.
- Monitored Alarms and cleared alarms clearing. Also ran diagnostic
testing on the core, network, peripheral equipment and as well span
testing. Completed span testing as needed, worked on the DSX frame wire
wrapping and reading specs as needed.
- Worked Installation of lab, install cable rack, set equipment frames,
install power cables. Diagnosed installation, connection problems and
performed Daily images.

Provided consultant for Nortel Meridian 1 equipment (PBX). Provided

- Verified Logic Return conductors were installed between the common
ground bus in the rectifier control and distribution panel to the Logic
Return terminal of each power distribution unit.
- Verified the battery cells are floated at the manufacturer's recommended
voltage. Presented a written Audit report on all discrepancies found on
site.
