Lummus
Senior Painter

Duties: Managing a crew of 3 to 5 people. Priming fabricated parts for assembly. Once all parts are
assembled, the machine comes back to the paint dept. for final coating, and then shipped to destinations
throughout the globe. I was responsible for all maintenance on equipment. It was vital to keep the paint
line going to produce quality and volume of Cotton Gin Machines. I was able to improve the paint dept.
by improving the equipment and bringing structure to the work area. Safety was improved by 100%,
quality by 100% and completing projects on schedule by 100%. I was able to put together a program that
improved the quality of the work and lower overhead by a considerable amount. I was able to utilize my
program to document all work and maintenance and document anything that was OSHA standards. No
short cuts were taking to a finish a job. I never sacrificed quality or safety to finish a product. Over all I
cut cost in maintenance, supplies, and man power which increases profits. Vice president would come
directly to me for input instead of my immediate Supervisor because I am able to problem solve on the
spot without losing time on important projects.
