improve key skills of complete team.
Projects:
SPPA-T3000 (Siemens Power Plant Automation, Teleperm 3000) Jan 01
-till date
Siemens Information Systems Ltd., India
SPPA -T3000 is the next generation distributed control system that provides
consummate functionality of a power plant control system. Moreover SPPA-
T3000 not only masters the need of traditional power plant control tasks,
but it also provides a powerful application environment that enables you to
tailor solutions to your specific enterprise needs. This includes the need
to coordinate and manage each and every aspect of business processes in
order to achieve operational excellence.
Roles/ Responsibilities
* Develop and manage customer relationship and resolution of
issues/concerns.
* Delivering products / projects as per project and organization goals.
* Develop and build high performance team to meet project and organization
goals.
* Provide solutions and contribute to system architecture and design
(Member of Architecture core team (ACT)).
* Evaluating feasibility of new requirements and providing high level
solutions for the same.
* Ensure conformance to organization and project quality processes.
* Maintaining Integrity and Compliance
Project 1: Foundation Fieldbus Integration in SPPA-T3000 (March 2011 till
date)
Location : Siemens AG (erlangen, Germany )
Team Size : 15
Description The goal is to integrate or support Foundation
Fieldbus Technology in SPPA-T3000 to support Oil and Gas market.
Project 2: New Redundancy Concept (Jan 2009 till Feb 2011)
Location : Siemens Ag (Karlsruhe, Germany ) and Siemens
Information Systems Ltd. (Gurgaon, NewDelhi).
Team Size : 5
Description The goal is to upgrade the existing redundancy
concept to overcome inherent limitations of existing concept. To provide a
solution which is more stable and can handle low switch over and brown out
time.
Project 3 : Migration of PG Legacy Systems (Oct 2007 -Dec 2008 )
Location : Siemens Information Systems Ltd. (Gurgaon,
NewDelhi).
Team Size : 3
Description The goal is to upgrade the Instrumentation and
Control system of existing power plants, running with old power plant
control systems of Siemens, with SPPA-T3000 functions and technology
thereby maintaining the Customers' investments as long as possible
(Engineering, Automation, I/O-modules and field cables). This gives PG L a
significant competitive advantage and avoids tendering a complete
modernization. The migration concept is an important key for customer
bonding and provides a market for new system.
Project 4 : Simulation and Stimulation (Oct 2007 -Till Date )
Location : Siemens Information Systems Ltd. (Gurgaon,
NewDelhi).
Team Size : 8
Description The goal of this project is to enables the SPPA-T3000
to be usable in Training- and Simulation scenarios just like in real
plants.
Project 5: Compact Automation Server (Dec 2006 -Sep2007 )
Location : Siemens Information Systems Ltd. (Gurgaon,
NewDelhi).
Team Size : 6
Description : Compact Automation Server provides low-cost
Automation Server solution for micro plants and small scale configurations.
This solution is designed to be competitive with PLC (Programmable Logic
Control) solutions with low-cost engineering and diagnostics functions.
Project 6 : Software Level Redundancy (July 2005 - Dec 2006)
Location : Siemens AG Erlangen (Germany).
Team Size : 8
Description : Software level redundancy is used in scenarios
where the underlying hardware/software does not provide transparent
redundancy. The requirements for nuclear power plants require a fully
redundant system. So we developed and implemented software level redundancy
(Hot Standby) for our automation server.
We have successfully implemented the concept and is currently this is
piloted and used on siemens proprietary hardware CM-104, but could be
extended for any industrial automation solution.
Project 7: Communication Module (Jan 2005- June 2005)
Location : Siemens AG Erlangen (Germany).
Team Size : 4
Description : Communication module as name suggest is developed
to enable SPPA-T3000 to interact with third party subsystems. It provides
SPPA-T3000 capability to integrate with competitors systems and also
provide backward compatibility to older versions of Siemens automation
systems.
Project 8 : NM&CS (June 2004 -December 2004)
Location : Siemens AG Erlangen (Germany).
Team Size : 15
Description :NM&CS (Network Management & Control Systems) is an
ambitious Siemens wide project, with aim to develop a common standard
platform for siemens products. This would lead to siemens wide cost
reduction to terms of development of new systems, as the existing platform
will provide wide variety of common services & functionality.
Project 9 : Runtime Container (Jan 2001 - May 2004)
Location : Siemens AG Erlangen,Germany(March 2001 - 30 April
- 2003).
Siemens Ltd. Gurgaon,India (May 2003 - June 2004).
Team Size : 5
Description :Runtime Container is the software realization of
hardwired PLC's used in older Process Control Systems. It provides a run-
time environment for Automation Function Instances(soft PLC's) .Ensuring
time critical hard real-time requirements of Power plant. Foreseeing the
inability of java to provides this behaviour we have used Real-time Java
and RTOS (by TimeSys) to fulfil needed constraints.
