. Responsible for the overall quality of the mechanical construction

activities being carried out at site.

. Supervising, monitoring & assisting the QC inspectors at site for

compliance to project quality requirements during fabrication, erection,

installation, testing and pre commissioning and maintaining all quality

records as per QA / QC norms

. To prepare Quality Control procedures, Inspection Test Plans (ITP)

according to project requirements and client specifications

. Inspecting the fabrication, installation, erection, testing &

commissioning, of piping & equipment system

that they meet project contract specification/ contract requirements

. Releasing raw / finished materials & bought-outs as per pre-set quality

parameters; conducting rejection analysis at vendors' end and carrying

. Physical inspection of all piping / mechanical installations, ensuring

that all work is completed in accordance with approved designs,

international codes, standards and procedures.

. Overseeing various functions entailing Fabrication, Erection,

Installation, Testing & commissioning of Piping System & Equipment

conforming to all requirements by using specifications, conventional

engineering practices, company standards, procedures, applicable code and

standards for streamlining operations

. Conducting Procedure Qualification Test (PQT), Welders Qualification Test

for different kinds of welds; monitoring stage wise welding jobs and

preparing documents for the same.

. Looking after field & shop QA/QC inspection in the areas of material,

welding, NDT, equipment, coating, painting,insulation, personnel

protection according to the ITP, procedures, method statement, project

specification, standards & codes in an effective manner

. Instrumental in interpretation of Radiography, Magnetic Particle and Dye

Penetrant Testing activities.

. Conducting Pre-test line checking of erected spool as per the test pack

and preparing the punch list.

. Review piping pressure test packages as per Drawings, applicable Codes

and standards.

. Formulating loop files/test packs & punch list liquidation.

. Witnessing & Review of Hydro test, Pneumatic test and leak test.

. Provide Mechanical Clearance to Piping contractors for further Hydro-

testing

. Checking the alignment and erection of piping/equipment as per drawings

. Witness bolt tensioning/torqueing

. Directs and co-ordinates technical personnel in performing inspections.

. Involved in verifying of the following:

Quality documents and certification

P&ID, piping GAD, piping isometrics, support drawings, equipment layout

and vendor drawings

. Maintaining, updating and monitoring the records of drawing

specifications, communication and documentation.

. Conduct/Witness Site Acceptance Test (SAT) of valves, equipment's etc.

. Monitoring inspection criteria & various testing procedures through

drafting new approaches in finding and resolving root cause of problems

. Supervising the contractor in the compilation of the handover and test

packs together with all as-built documentation

. Issue nonconformance reports to vendors and construction contractors

while performance of quality control inspections.

. Issue & satisfactory close-out of nonconformance reports

. Perform quality control assessments of fabrication works at vendor's

premises or construction sites.

. Interface and coordinate with clients for QC matters and coordinate with

third party inspection agencies for all related inspection activities

. Interfacing with various departments like technical Services, planning,

safety,electrical, instrumentation, civil and materials divisions to

handle qa/qc related activities
