Lead Technician
Penske Truck Leasing Body Shop, Greensboro, NC
Prepare estimates, set labor times, email customers. Hand out job orders.
Use Adjustrite estimating software to compile estimates. Use Penske Summit
software for job. Perform digital alignments and metal fabrication.
Provide direction and support for seven technicians in investigating and
providing solutions to problems. Organized scheduling for second shift to
meet production goals. Worked across departmental boundaries to resolve
problems involving repairs with parts manager and estimator to meet company
objectives. Job duties also included full concentration on being a lead
technician, repairing and troubleshooting major collisions. These duties
include diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and
body repairs.
Diesel Technician (2003-2005)
Triad Freightliner of Greensboro, Greensboro, NC
Broadened my skills as a service technician on Class 8 and business class
trucks at the same company in a different department. Repaired and
installed air conditioning systems in heavy duty trucks. Duties include
D.O.T inspections, general service and preventative maintenance procedures.
Installed, maintained and repaired air braking systems, Meritor A.B.S.,
driveline, suspension, transmission and engines. Experienced with many
Freightliner Trucks systems. Kept detailed records and notations for work
performed for warranty and company records. Made work orders for parts
needed for repairs
Body Technician (1995-2003)
Triad Freightliner of Greensboro, Greensboro, NC
Primary responsibilities focused on collision repair on semi-trucks. Job
skills include welding, all aspects of body repair including unibody
construction, mechanical repairs, electrical diagnosis, fabrication, and
reconditioning damaged parts. Duties involve disassembly of cabs, including
complete overhaul of dash wiring, SMC compounds repairs, fiberglass and
plastics repairs. Dealership quality painter, pre-paint prep, and general
body work. Took jobs from start to finish.
Body Technician, Mechanic, & Painter
Benfield Auto (1995-2010) Part Time on and off
Started out as a shop that did collision repairs and general body work. We
worked on anything that came in the door. Planes parts, boats, cars, trucks
and restorations. Shop converted into a restoration shop for vintage
automobiles. Prices range above 1000,000.00 for some restorations. Top
quality work. Any year. Any condition. We make parts, and build from the
ground up. Frame off restorations. Small independent shop privately owned
and has been in business for 32 years.
Sales and Customer Support
Contractors Legal System, Dallas TX
Worked in sales for company in generating new business for law firm. Duties
involved working business owners and managers to set up meetings for the
law firm to proceed with legal action on business debts. Responsible for
outbound and inbound sales.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
. Bell South Scholarship Award for Electronics Engineering Majors; 2000-
2001 academic school year
. Placed second in District Tech Challenge for Penske Truck Leasing
. Dean's List Student
PROJECTS:
. Participated in the 2000-2003 SECON (Southeastern Electronic
Conference) in robotic design and hardware development. Worked with a
group of electronics engineering students from Guilford Technical
Community College to develop a design for a robotics projects for
three years. Guilford Tech was the only North Carolina College to
make the final call in the 2003 competition.
. Gained hands on experience designing and building complex electronic
circuits, programming microprocessors, soldering, and troubleshooting
to the component level. Proficient in servomotors, micro controllers,
and precision mechanical systems.
. Programmed PLC's in a lab environment.
