Salvaged project and secured 25% increase in number of projects for
Reltec/Marconi. Main Houston customer was upset with late installation
completions and poor communications. Instituted weekly call with customer
to update status of each project. Communicated delays in projects as they
occurred. Improved relationship with the customer resulting in new project
assignments.
Ensured timely project completion for Tyco Electronics, obtaining
additional $2M in business from client. Awarded $1.5M project, with promise
of additional business if the first project completed on time. Monitored
project closely, obtaining additional labor as needed. Employed creative
solutions to materials shortages, keeping the project on target. Completed
ahead of schedule and awarded additional business.
Maintained operations at SW Bell site for Marconi during flooding due to
Tropical Storm Francis. Southwestern Bell had two offices flooded and
needed equipment replaced as soon as possible. Received notification and
contacted supplier in Dallas. Arranged for 20,000 pounds of equipment
shipped overnight into Houston. Mobilized teams, and in 48 hours had all
damaged equipment replaced.
Increased business 20% while reducing moving and storage costs 30% for
Marconi. High costs of moving and storing equipment and supplies reduced
business opportunities that could be undertaken. Sought additional vendors
in Houston to create competitive bids for transporting. Implemented system
of vendors bidding on moving and storage on a project-by-project basis. New
program was adopted company wide.
Career History
Document Specialist, Gibson & Associates, 2011 to 2012. Contracted to
client Emerson Network Power to support the mid-west region Installation
Manager and teams. Compiled, reviewed and uploaded project documents to the
AT&T Electronic Job folder system. Wrote Detailed Methods of Procedure,
tracked with customer AT&T for approval of the MOP, uploaded the document
to the AT&T AOTS system and scheduled the work time frames. Communicated
with the AT&T customers on a daily basis, as well as Emerson Management.
Perform engineering site surveys in AT&T facilities to document site
conditions, and layout project requirements.
Field Engineer / Installation Supv., Gibson & Associates, 2007 to 2011
Contracted to client, Emerson Network Power, to perform pre-Engineering and
bid proposal site surveys. Conduct customer site visits for the
installation of DC Power Equipment and cable, data and transport equipment.
Write and maintain job documentation for all projects in the region, to
include method's of procedures, test records ect.
Area Installation Manager, Tyco Electronics, 2003 to 2007. Managed multiple
installation teams. Created and maintained relationships with diverse
customer base. Controlled and managed costs per project with multiple
projects running at the same time. Managed all aspects of DC power
deployment, re-arrangement and replacement, in the Central Office, MTSO,
and Cell site environments. Conducted site surveys, including new equipment

employees and up to $2.5M budgets.
