DESRIPTION OF PROJECT: Concept design as per specification and FEA analysis for approved concept, once analysis accepted, Cost estimation, drafting and released through engineering change order process (Oracle process).Vendor selection and manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Detailed scope study, design work, Assembly lay out, structural analysis, configuration control, drafting, and model based definition using Unigraphics within Team center, release engineering, technical support and other responsibilities like manufacturing methods.

• Formulate and analysis of designs for component parts and assemblies for material handling equipments.

• Cost estimation before purchase requisition.

• Vendor/Supplier identification, validate and qualify for manufacturing.

PROJECT: ECO WRITING

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: This is Engineering change management to release new drawings & up revising drawings according Client standards through oracle data base.

TOOLS USED: Oracle data base, DDVvault, GPSI Web, AutoCAD R-2000, Inventor R-6, and Unigraghics NX.

Responsibilities:

• Undergone training on onsite for process understanding.

• Training new associates for the ECO process.

• Knowledge of PLM related document management, engineering workflows, material management etc.

• Participate in New Product Introductions through Process Design and Tool Development.

• Lead & Monitor Engineering Change implementation by co-coordinating with Sourcing, Engineering, Materials and Manufacturing.

• Expertise in Engineering Change Management for the Products.

• Supplier Problem Sheet (SPS) Resolution.

• Creation and updation of Engineering Change Request form, Cost Disposition Worksheet, Safety Checklists and ECO checklists.

PROJECT: LIGHT COMBAT AIRCRAFT (LCA), HINDUSTAN JET TRAINER (HJT-36)

Responsibilities:

• Designing of Drilling jigs and Welding fixtures for aircraft components, manufacturing.

• Designing of MASTER MODELS & LAY-UP TOOLS for LCA (Light Combat Aircraft) by using Catia-V4, all the intricate & complex parts of Aircraft that are made of CFC (Carbon Fiber Composites) needs to be made out of Lay-up Tools and Lay-up tools are in turn made of out Master Model. Checking fixtures and the Form blocks of interacted complex surfaces where done by using Catia-V4 for LCA- PV series.

• Designing of assembly fixture for rear fuselage components such as bulk heads, longirons of HINDUSTAN JET TRAINER (HJT-36).

• Designing of AIR INTAKE Assembly fixtures, inspection.

Responsibilities:

• Design & Development of drilling jigs, Welding fixtures for 1/2"& 1" E.R.W PIPES.

• Development of light fabrication components such as Cushion seat frames, Height stands, head rests and stitched covers.

• Drawing part drawings using AUTOCAD R-14 software.

• Day to Day production activities, maintenance of Production activities like man power requirement for assembly/sub assembly, adopted Just in time (JIT) process.

• Production planning for monthly target and forecasting.

Good knowledge of Centre lathe assembly and Designing tools for Assembly Supporting activities.

• Pick and place tools for head stock, tail stock & carriage.

• Ground handling equipments (scraping, work bench) etc.

• Tools for dry bearing fitting in gears, head stock, etc.

Projects Handled.

1. Title : Testing Susceptor Jig for Wafer in Chamber Body

Environment : Unigraphics, Team Center Engineering, Ansys V11.0

Features : Designed a testing susceptor jig which simulates the functions

Of actual components and weight in specific conditions of the

Chamber.

Responsibilities : Components study and collecting the required information by

Regular interactions with clients, Concept design approval and

drawing creation.

2. Title : Material Handling Equipment for VAC Distribution box.

Environment : Unigraphics, Team Center Engineering, Ansys V11.0

Features : This Tool is used assly area for testing product. VAC

Distribution Box will be rotated maximum 45 degrees and tester

will frequently changes the cable input/Output switches.

Responsibilities : Build stand should be such that VAC distribution box mounted

and rotated for maximum of 45 degrees during testing. Tool

was designed using aluminum profiles to hold the maximum

150 Lbs load.

3. Title : Locking System for Source Rotation Stand.

Environment : Unigraphics, Team Center Engineering

Features : Existing Source Rotation stand does not have locking system during operation.

Responsibilities : Specification study and concept design done, interacted with

client for approval, Modeling and detailing done.

4. Title : Lifting Tool for Fan Filter unit.

Environment : Unigraphics, Team Center Engineering, Nastran

Features : Fan Filter Unit weighing 160 Lbs need to carry from assly work

Bench and mounted inside the frame.

Responsibilities : Study the installation requirement and proposed the concept

Design. For approved concept modeling, detailing done,

Manufactured and tested for Proof Load.
