Manage 130 associates across 3 Shifts in Welding and Assembly.
Led the plants lean implementation efforts in the assembly
department. Those task include: teaching supervisors how to perform
standard work assessments, establishing continuous improvement teams,
streamlining material flow, using cell layout improvement, wip inventory
reductions, Kanban, and 5S.
I am also responsible for Poke Yoke evaluation and improvement
through the QRQC process, leveling production schedules based on
customer releases and forecasting assembly labor requirements for the
plant’s business planning process. I also provide oversight for the
assembly cross training schedule. This schedule ensures that the plant
has properly trained associates for each process to ensure customer
quality and delivery requirements are met. I also worked as a team
member on lean implementation in the press shop where I gained
experience with Transfer Presses as well as die change reduction
activities.
