Built a profit-and-loss organization with more than 70 marketing and

communication professionals supporting TI communication needs for internal

and external audiences across all business groups, fianc, corporate

communications, public affairs and HR functions. Directly responsible for

strategic planning, design, writing, public relations, event marketing,

video production, Web development, advertising, market research, print and

electronic collateral. Managed teams located in Dallas, Houston and Tucson

with extended support in Europe, Asia and Japan.

. Created an entrepreneurial business model that embraced activity-based

accounting, cost recovery, outsourcing and offshoring. Recouped costs of

approximately $20 million annually.

. Integrated recognized project management excellence principles and

analysis tools into creative functions, resulting in major production

efficiencies. Improvements resulted in decreased year-on-year costs and

increased headcount, project loads and chargeouts to clients. Benchmarks

drive changes in marketing plans. Defined three-pronged survey follow-up:

"hot-button" analyses using follow-up e-mails; face-to-face follow-up

with top-200 accounts by sales force; and outbound calls to customers who

felt trapped or had application concerns.

. Aligned all communication strategies, key messages and metrics for TI

business groups with the TI Integrated Communication Platform booklet.

Used for all projects and programs, this annual planning tool provided

consistency and clarity across both B2B and B2C target audiences.

. Managed TI's 75th anniversary communications campaign, targeting internal

and external audiences. Leveraged TI Alumni Association to deliver a

range of historical materials, including a 274-page hardbound book, an

award-winning digital museum and 28 full-page ads. The campaign resulted

in a 10-point increase in employee knowledge and ability to talk about

the company and exceeded external goals by more than 20 percent.

. Created baseline for TI brand knowledge including brand models, brand

report cards, qualitative and quantitative research, evaluation tools,

design and voice style guides, and AP Style writing guidelines. Developed

TI's brand management strategy and maintained the integrity of the brand

across all businesses and media.

. Secured $1 million in funding that transitioned the company's television

function to a high-definition studio capable of streaming live video to

desktops, saving TI $300,000 annually over traditional broadcast methods.

. Developed methods for documenting level of service required for clients

. Built relationships with more than 127 suppliers, negotiating the best
