Projects Handled @GE:

. Project Title : FUSION-PLM to ERP Integration

Description : This project is for replacement of COPICS MRP with the

Oracle ERP. This implementation is based on the modern concept of

ASCP. Involved in the concept development on PLM side and its

functional testing. On-site visit : Visited Greenville, SC & Pensacola

(US) (4 Weeks-April'10) to order to accomplish the project goal.

. Project Title : Unit BOM Central (UBC)

Description : Multiple systems were eliminated and one global system

was implemented. Nominated as one of the "Functional Owner" (One &

only from Bangalore Engineering Center) by the Global Manger/TLs for

its execution, testing, validation & training for the global teams.

. Project Title : COPICS~DWB data synchronization

Description : Fixed over 5000 defects for 14253 parts & over 10000

defects for 4170 BOMs. Developed an automated scorecard to manage this

high volume of changes to support UBC rollout. Appreciated by the TLs

on the project planning, execution and achieve project goals in short

spam of time.

. Project Title : 1.5 60HZ MLI to PBM

Description :With the help of this project eliminated part

duplication and consistent part list was created. Also, a

flat BOM was created which was multi-labels earlier. Initiated & led

1.5 60Hz MLI~PBM migration project of global 10 members. Identified

different Tollgates for it's tracking. Set up a weekly meeting rhythm

for reviews & queries.

. Project Title : BOMGen Performance improvement

Description : Worked with the tools team and was appointed as a

Business Unit Leader for Wind business. Responsible for Functional

spec definition, influencing the global cross business units to get

the support for Wind and the tool testing. Visited Greenville, SC (US)

(3 Weeks-Apr2008) to order to accomplish the project goal.

. Project Title : Customer Fulfillment projects

Description : Led this project and developed four member BOM team.

Responsible for Bill of Material (BoM) creation & Validation for both

Manufacturing as well as Auxiliary for Entire US Projects. It includes

interaction with different teams like manufacturing, requisition,

sourcing & component owners in order to get the appropriate inputs for

BoM Creation. Review and Approval of Design Change Instructions (DCI).

Maintaining the logics in the tool for BOM creation. Releasing

schedules for different activities in order to accomplish the proper

turbine installation. Creation of Best practices and mentoring the new

comers to learn configuration related processes and activities.

Delivered over 6000 Wind Turbines for around 350 projects. - 1.5 SLE

FAB ESS 60Hz Configuration, 1.5 XLE ESS 60Hz Configuration, 1.5 SLE

ESS 60Hz, Seismic Tower, 2.5 XL 60Hz Cost Hand Book BOM for Finance

team, 2.5 XL 60Hz AO BOM. Earned the title of "BOM Guru" from the

global TLs.

. Project Title : Extensive support to new project Development and

Introduction

Description : Key contact person for handoff between the NPI and

Configuration team. 2500 manual parts export in COPICS, UBC & Product

Central setup for 2.5XL60Hz that helped the Finance team for cost

rollout & AO BOM definition for mfg/sourcing team. It resulted in

signing of $1.4 billion project. Other project that I supported

includes 1.5SLE60Hz WindEXTEND/1.6XLE60Hz, Software version. Control

Process & new WPS TPH establishment, "Near Shore 1.5 SLE 50Hz" in DWB

etc.

Quality - Six Sigma/Audits:

. Led the Renewables CoE (~150 members) as the acting QMS Leader with

the help of six different ISO reps by conducting the mock audit

preparation, QMS learning sessions, etc. Improved 65% YoY finding

closures, NPI process audits, etc was highly appreciated. As a result

successfully came out as the Best auditor for the year 2010 and

received Global GE Night on the Town Award.

. Led & represented GE Energy Engineering Division (EED) several times

in external QMS audits for Vendor/supplier's qualification for India

products.

. Contributed as the core team member in the SCADA Lean WO on the

"consolidation & automation of 3 MLIs" A158222.1 saving > $100K/year.

Shared the concept of digitized VSM, which was later leveraged in

entire Bangalore Engineering Center.

. Led the BOM Lean project which reduced touch time from 40 to < 10hrs &

duration from 10-3 days (A167394.1 & A163489.1). It realized a

financial benefit of 114,297$.

. Certified Six Sigma Green Belt Engineer. Incorporation of WBOP Coline

in the Manufacturing BoM (A144158.1). Special logic was implemented in

BoMGen Rule Editor in order to obtain the desired structure. With the

help of this project 16 Manual operations is reduced to 4 and 6 hours

BoM creation time in BoMGen tool is reduced to 4.5 hours. I am the

first Green Belt Certified in Bangalore Engineering Center - Order to

Remittance Team.

for 2.X 60HZ prototype built, BOM updates etc. (2010)
