The Crom Corporation is a design-build firm specializing in heavy civil
infrastructure projects throughout the Southeast United States.
Responsibilities included the management of all day-to-day activities for
projects within the state of Alabama and the Florida panhandle. Pre-
construction responsibilities include coordinating project documents for
use by the on-site superintendent, project planning and schedule
development, preparing Subcontract Agreements, directing CAD operators in
the preparation of shop drawings, reviewing shop drawings to assure
conformity with project plans and specifications, gathering and reviewing
submittals for projects, making site visits and interacting with
subcontractors during initial site preparation, reviewing and reporting on
project cost information on a weekly basis, and making site visits during
the construction of the tank as needed to perform the following project
related duties: safety inspections, quality control inspections, and review
of job cost budgets.

Project: $22 million, 140,000 SF Technology Center classroom building and
$8 million, 65,000 SF Workforce Development building for Indian River State
College in Fort Pierce, FL. Reviewed submittals, wrote and followed up on
RFIs, verified subcontractor change orders, coordinated close-out manuals.
Coordinated closely with college facilities staff on last minute changes to
design in order to minimize costly schedule delays.

Office Engineer 11/2001 - 2/2003 Dar es Salaam Tanzania
Project: $37 million, 150,000 SF US Embassy compound for the US Dept. of
State in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Duties onsite included performing
quantity takeoffs, writing requisitions for required material, tracking
material delivery status, submittal review and tracking, writing change
order proposals, compiling closeout O&M manuals, and coordinating other
closeout issues such as spare parts/owner stock, key turnover, etc.
Office Engineer 4/2001 - 11/2001 Groningen, Groningen
Netherlands
Project: $32 million 100,000 SF data center in Groningen, Netherlands and
$3 million 5000 SF cable fiber optic booster station in Eemshaven,
Netherlands. Spent four weeks on site at Eemshaven project coordinating
subcontractors in final stages. Assisted project manager onsite at
Groningen location with tracking of costs, enforcing safety issues,
reviewing pricing and scope of subcontractor change orders, quality
control, creating and updating punch lists, finalizing close-out documents,
etc.

-Assisted in the estimating department of the JA Jones Management Services
office in Arlington, VA.
-Acting Superintendent for $165,000 office renovation for Alcatel in
Chantilly, VA. Coordinated subcontractors on site, enforced safety,
completed daily progress reports.
-$3.3 million 30,000 SF warehouse-to-office renovation for Intel in
Chantilly, VA. Coordinated submittal reviews, RFI processing, and close-out
assembly.
