Master's thesis:
This project is about mining through large data sets which is based on
apriori principle. This system builds business logic for easy shopping for
example bread and milk are placed together. This project is based on
analyzing how one item is related to another item called association
analysis.
Roles and Responsibilities:
. Worked on Apriori algorithm and builded the code using C#.NET 2.0.
. Developed the association between Items, for building the Business Logic.
. Worked on OLAP data model for storing the DataSets and manipulation on
those DataSets.
. Generated different methods for insertion, deletion and display
oprations.
. Normalized data for better Performance.
. Performed unit test cases to make sure everything works up to the mark.
Undergraduate thesis:
Transient stability studies on a sample power system along with the load
flow solution
. Five bus power system with two generator buses was considered
. A three-phase fault on a load bus for duration of 0.1 seconds
. Simulations were carried out using MATLAB 6.1
. Swing curves and curves of rotor speed were obtained for the two
generator buses
. Discussed the results and suggested improvements
Internship:
Fabrication of AC-DC power supply with Active Power Factor Correction
. 12V, 6A DC power supply from 90-115A, 50Hz single phase AC supply
. The entire circuit was divided into three modules: Bridge
rectifier, PFC pre converter, converter
. The MC34262 IC was used for power factor correction
. Two switch forward converter was used as step down DC-DC
converter
. The circuit was fabricated on a PCB
. Results showed improvement in PF from 0.62 to 0.94 at 2A

1. Randomized PWM (RPWM) techniques for industrial power converters
Advanced PWM modulation techniques for multilevel converters
2. Switched capacitor voltage regulators as an alternative for
switched voltage regulators
3. Simulated different control schemes for both AC & DC machines
using Pspice
Power system stabilizer (PSS) to improve the dynamic stability of a
power system
4. Designed a RISC processor using Xilinx and verilog HDL
