impact analysis, resource planning and project management for tasks and
milestones.
. Interfaced with business and technical requirement teams to review and
provide feedback for program requirements and system functions.
. Responsible for authoring and presenting Business Process Design, High
Level Design and Detailed Design documents based on a standard design
software lifecycle.
. Developed several components using advanced Oracle PL/SQL batch
techniques and set based processing designed to process high volume
transactions.
. Part of a team of developers responsible for designing and developing
modules and scripts to support data conversion effort as the program grew
with each release.
. Developed and maintained a suite of unit and component test cases using
UT PL/SQL framework.
. Provided technical expertise to ensure that code met design standards,
performed at service levels and followed development and best practices
guidelines.
. Led Integration testing effort across groups for each release.
. Provided production support that required quick turnaround time for
triage and provided workaround solutions for recoverability and
restartability purposes.
. Mentored junior team members and developed training programs across
technology and business.
. Provided functional and database expertise for a data mart effort.
. Established processes and controls for change management across the
development group.
. Participated in formal review processes for all technical components.
Accomplishments:
. Helped design and build a national program in record time - the first
functional release was implemented in four months.
. Member of a team that developed over a million lines of code in the first
year of the program on schedule and on budget.
. Developed a physical and logical database design that maintained
application flexibility over the life of the project.
. Implemented a complex payment processing component designed to process
over a million transactions per day.
. Designed and Implemented late breaking complex functionality defined by
treasury after the system went live without impacting the existing
functionality or performance.
. As the system evolved, past being a loan processing application, designed
and implemented a single entry accounting system supporting 18 accounting
types and 20 million transactions a month.
. Led an effort to implement Second Lien processing (2MP), a highly complex
program that had to interact with other HAMP programs.
. Consistently delivered code with less than 4% defects.
Programmer/Developer - Single Family Technology
Oct 2006 - Jul 2008
Programmer for Servicer Investor Reporting (SIR), a major corporate multi-
year initiative replacing a 25-year-old legacy system. This new system
managed the servicing and accounting for 18 million loans and 450K
mortgage security pools. This was the largest single system ever delivered
in Fannie Mae's history. This system was successfully delivered after
several failed outsourcing attempts and quickly became a production
success.
Responsibilities / Roles:
. Member of a team responsible for managing and implementing Oracle
development technologies for the project. This team was responsible for
developing standards for designing and developing Oracle PL/SQL.
. Developed PL/SQL batch programs, designed to handle large volumes.
. Evaluated and trained team members in the usage of off-the-shelf testing
framework, UT PL/SQL and provided recommendations to implement it.
. Supported various tasks for performance engineering and performance
tuning effort.
. Analyzed, reviewed and re-implemented user interface query implemented in
SQL to improve the response time.
. Converted complex reporting SQL into PL/SQL.
Accomplishments:
. Being an early adopter of PL/SQL at Fannie Mae, established standards for
implementing PL/SQL applications.
. Prototyped PL/SQL as a batch processing technology after a failed JAVA
entity architecture. The
prototype showed that PL/SQL was a viable technology for a high
volume system.
. Worked with a team to architect a solution designed to process the entire
book of business in one day by optimizing application, database and
infrastructure components.
. Helped design a database that supported 1+ terabytes of data.
. Worked on a team responsible for re-architecting a previously failed
ETL/reporting strategy. This involved developing an initial dimension
model.

development environment.
. Designed, authored and implemented change management infrastructure to
support consistent, repeatable process to deploy database changes in
development and upper environments.
. Led the team to automate database security and capacity planning
activities, database health monitoring activities.
. Synchronized mismatched schemas and implemented a process to maintain
integrity across all environments.

oracle import/export utilities.
. Imported data from different sources to oracle tables using Oracle
SQL*Loader and Oracle external tables.
. Developed utilities with Oracle PLSQL.
Accomplishments:
. Developed a deployment process for a database DDL and PL/SQL objects.
. Developed standards, processes and procedures for database team, required
to support a 100+ development organization and several dozen
