To trace out Docosahexaenoic acid ('DHA") production and controlling
mechanism in a Marine algae. My assignment was to isolate D12 and D5 genes
from Marine algae cloning and proof of function of the genes.D12 and D5
genes which play an important role in production of DHA. DHA is responsible
for the growth and development of human brain.

extraction of DNA, restriction digestion, extraction of DNA fragments
[Southern blotting], ligation, Insertion of foreign genes into expression
vector, insertion of expression vector into host genome [E.coli], and
