Handle payroll functions for a multi-state bureau environment on a bi-
weekly basis for a company that consists of 2,158 restaurants in 18 states,
of which 1,346 were company-operated and 812 were franchise-operated.

Timekeeping Programs: Kronos and Workbrain.
Ran a system balancing program used to create checks for Jack's hourly
employees (43,000 +) on a rotation schedule (only 6 out of 15 payroll
processors were qualified) that took 3 days to complete.
Calculate manual pays, placed stop payments and reissued checks; calculated
retro pays, additional pay, and deductions.
Performed on-line data entry of personnel paperwork (i.e. hire forms,
terminations, wage changes, etc).
Research and answer inquiries pertaining to payroll/personnel, labor
guides, and expenses from restaurant and regional staff.
Supported the testing and set-up of the Workbrain program (The program used
to gather and compiled time records to process paychecks), which was a 2
day process.
Assistance in the set-up of a new pay-card program and worked to create an
information center used to help employees with questions on how to use and
access funds
Reviewed and processed garnishments and support court orders; wrote letters
to courts and government agencies in response to request (i.e. tax boards,
court clerks, auditors, attorneys and sheriff department personnel).
Instrumental in the development of setting up a Payroll/Personnel
processing manual for Quick Stuff, the convenience store chain owned and
operated under the Jack in the Box umbrella.
Maintained the training database used by the training departments to track
employee hours needed for certification intended for continued education
units in order to become part of the management team.
Developed and generated reports and spreadsheets, as well as, maintaining
previously developed spreadsheets and applications used for posting journal
entries.
Aided in the extensive testing and placement of a Payroll Call center; used
to keep track/count of incoming calls, while entering information in a call
center database.
Later a call center program was implemented company wide for each
department.
