Professional Experience
United States Air Force, 1986 – 2011
CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT – Honorably completed 26 years military service culminating
as Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) program manager of the United States Air Force’s
largest war fighting command. Provided operational supervision for 630 personnel across 31
installations. Prioritized and directed execution of $7M annual operating budget. Standardized
and inspected command operations, training, and equipment programs for effectiveness and
efficiency.
Management:
Leveraged operational experience to identify, fund, and build layered communications, Counter
Remote Control IED Electronic Warfare (CREW), night vision, and defensive weaponry for
$267M Air Force EOD variant Mine Resistant, Ambush Protected (MRAP) combat vehicle
program. Developed “cradle to grave” employment and support strategies providing
unparalleled protection for the war fighter. Envisioned and realized $12M annual
modernization program including robotics, training, and micro aerial vehicle acquisitions.
Identified critical operational limitations of currently fielded robotics and implemented $15M
upgrade initiative. Initiated and oversaw $30M vehicle mounted thermal optic system purchase
Operations: and installation.
Fully versed in C IED warfare at the strategic, operational, and tactical level: In on the ground
floor during stand up of Command Joint Task Force (CJTF) TROY in Iraq. Fused weapons
intelligence and operational data into cohesive targeting packages. Integrated into CJTF
PALADIN Combat Support Elements and developed realistic C IED team employment profiles.
Provided subject matter expertise for intelligence, special operations, and key decision makers.
Led operational EOD flight in hotly contested Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. Responsible
for defeating 153 IEDs on over 500 combat missions. Processed captured intelligence for

Combined Explosives Exploitation Cell to target IED making cells.
Developmen
t: Designed and managed USAF EOD pre deployment training format – bedrock of effective
combat operations. Developed and implemented comprehensive training and certification plans
for first ever operational Slovakian EOD team. Enabled employment of Moldovan combat
engineers through explosives awareness instruction.
