Account Executive; Food Sources, Brea, CA. Established and managed the
"Hispanic Foods Department" for the Food Broker and ensuring its success.
Obtained several Mexican food products to represent such as Jarritos Soft
Drinks, MexiChef Jalapenos and salsas and in less than six months went from
dead last in income generator to one of the top five most profitable for
the company. Coordinated with Mexican food brokers and their sales force
to increase the placement and sales of our products. Resulted in an
average of eight (8) truck loads the first year to over twenty four (24)
truck loads by the end of the second year.
July 1997 - Jan 2000
Consultant, Soar Marketing, Ontario, CA. Present -Business Consultant for
small to medium size companies such as Intel Foods and El Torito
Restaurants. Intel a Food Manufacturer and Distributor to the Retail and
Food Service industries, for whom I developed a "strategic sales and
marketing plan" that included designing, developing and executing a new
corporate logo, new sales presentation brochures and new labels for its
entire product line. The program was extremely successful and more than
doubled its sales in the first year. For El Torito, I assisted in
researching, taste testing and developing over twenty two different
excellent Mexican Food Products. Most of the products became an instant hit
with El Torito customers and became part of their menu items.

Category Manager; Dairy Fresh Products, Inc. Ontario, CA. Responsible for
designing and managing the development of the Hispanic Foods
category for Dairy Fresh. Developed and implemented a strategic sales and
marketing plan and obtained over 120 Mexican Food Products for exclusive
distribution from Mexican Manufacturers.

Marketing Manager; MAS International, Los Angeles, Ca. Managed the sales
and distribution of Mexican soft Drinks to independent
retailers, Hispanic food chains and foodservice accounts. A start-up
company that went from zero sales to more than 10 truck loads per month in
less than six months.

Manager Retail Products; Peppers Unlimited Inc., Ontario, Ca. For Peppers
Unlimited, the U.S sales/marketing arm of La Torre Foods, I
was instrumental in developing and executing product positioning, new
bilingual labeling, and pricing strategies that increased sales by over 23%
and profit margins by more than 18%. This contributed to over a four
hundred percent increase in sales in less than two years.
