COMMENTS ABOUT ROBBY FERGUSON
On multiple occasions going back to 1997, I have represented Consolidated
Graphics, Inc. ("CGX") on its Houston headquarters office lease, both the
initial lease and subsequent extensions and expansions. This led to a
national corporate services contract with Cushman & Wakefield's Houston
office beginning in the fall of 2008.
I first came to know Robby when he was brought in to work on the CGX
account. Over the next 2 years, I worked very closely with him as the
primary contact person for my firm at CGX.
Robby is very hard working and conscientious, and also a very quick study
and self starting. Coupled with well-honed verbal and written communication
skills, he is the consummate "people person", in the process engendering
the confidence of his clients - in this case the 70 operating companies
within CGX spread across the United States, hence entailing considerable
travel. Robby is very level headed, aided by well grounded judgment and
analytical bent, handling building acquisitions and sales, lease renewals,
extensions, contractions and renegotiations, construction, budgeting,
scheduling, and internal reporting. In short, he delivers on what he says
he will do in maximizing leasehold and asset value. And finally, he
personifies integrity, is very much of a team player, and is truly a good
human being.
In closing, I know Robby Ferguson to be a person that will succeed at the
highest level in whatever he chooses to do, hence will be a credit to the
firm that has the wisdom and good fortune to hire him.
Lou Cushman, Vice Chairman, Cushman & Wakefield
"I met Robby looking for a retail site for a client. Several months down
the road, we formed a partnership to purchase and develop retail land. The
three best things Robby brings to the table are (i) his keen eye for retail
land, (ii) his ability to manage projects, and most important, (iii) his
integrity. Robby is the kind of person that makes partnerships worthwhile."
Kenneth Lewis, President, Tejas Retail & Development.
I had the pleasure of managing Robby Ferguson during his employment at
Consolidated Graphics. I found Robby to be a smart, hard-working, real
estate professional. Robby was very good at finding creative solutions to
our Real Estate challenges. Under Robby's guidance, we saved several
million dollars in reduced lease rates. Robby was very good at running a
competitive process that forced existing landlords to compete with new
landlords and available properties to ensure we got the very best deal.
Ric Davis, Executive Vice President, Consolidated Graphics, Inc.
"I provided local corporate real estate assistance in the Michigan market
as a service provider to Robby and his company. I reported directly to
Robby, and found him to be a creative thinker, pragmatic, energetic, and
very capable in his analysis of situations. He was able to manage dozens of
activities on the project occurring simultaneously. A very honorable person
to work for and with. I highly recommend him."
David T. Miller, Principal, Signature Associates, a Cushman & Wakefield
Alliance
"During my tenure at Missouri City, it was a pleasure working with Robby.
The relationship between developer and that of development staff is one
that is typically viewed as being challenging. City staff is often
perceived as regulators. With Robby, that wasn't the case. He worked
closely with us to ensure our objectives/vision for development in the City
was met, while fulfilling his client's goals. That attitude allowed staff
to work as facilitators for growth and achieve win-win solutions for both
the City and his projects." March 9, 2011
