electrical engineering consultation and design services from its Darien, IL

office for national and international projects.

Mechanical Project Engineer

Designed HVAC systems while managing an engineering team to provide

construction drawings for Eichrom's $3,500,000 chemical lab and

manufacturing plant in Lisle, Illinois. Saved Eichrom $700,000 by

designing the two individual departments separately in parallel to

commission the NPO production line 3 months before scheduled date.

Achieved by:

* Leading multiple projects from start to finish with set budgets and

schedules

* Representing client during all phases of the project while attending

design meetings

* Designing client specific HVAC systems for office, manufacturing, labs &

clean rooms

* Designed lab pressurization & HEPA systems for particulate levels and

containment

* Wrote sequence of operations for 28 HVAC systems to control conditions in

8 zones

* Provided documentations for compliance of all codes

* Providing field engineering services for quick turn around of resolutions

* Directing contractors and vendors, responding quickly to RFIs and

reviewing submittals

Other projects:

* Performed a mass energy balance by comparing three years of fuel and

electrical power consumed. Studies also included observing building

envelopes, analyzed the HVAC and general equipment efficiency, usage

requirements, time of operation, peak loads, lighting, building controls,

floor plan layout, and more. A report recommending modifications,

upfront investment costs and years before payback was presented.

* Provided a site boiler and MUA replacement feasibility

* Designed the HVAC systems and managed a project to portions of the 1926

historically protected Chicago Lyric Opera House. Feed lines and

ductwork from the 80 year old building central systems were either

abandoned, not functioning, located in historically protected areas or

couldn't be found. Each space had a full kitchen to complicate the MEPF

designs. The Lyric Opera House budget was $1,000,000 above the initial

estimate with engineering only 3% above the original proposal.

* Designed specialty HVAC systems for industrial automotive test and

training center
