saws, splitters, and hammer mills; conveyors: chain and belt of numerous

styles with electro-mechanical and hydraulic drives; machinery for sorting,

storage and retrieval; steel and aluminum weldments

--Specialized fork lift truck attachments, automated crane systems;

specialized process machinery with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-

mechanical actuators; hydraulic and pneumatic system design

--Inspection of fabrication shops and quality control evaluation; safety

review of designs to determine hazards and apply warnings, guards,

procedures, or design changes required for safe operation; site supervision

of installation, and startup of complex industrial machinery systems;

computer based drawing and analysis of machine systems and components

Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration:

--Residential, commercial and institutional HVAC system design,

installation and maintenance;

--Air handler, boiler, furnace, and heat pump service and repair; ductwork

design, fabrication, and installation; troubleshooting electrical control

problems

Analyzed test fixtures for 747 and 757 landing gear. Stress

analysis of aircraft maintenance platforms. HVAC design for hotels

and casinos. Numerous residential building designs and structural

analyses. Surveyed buildings for structural safety and code

compliance. Participated in Value Engineering studies for school

designs. Designed automated pulp roll stretch wrapping system.

Working with the following computerized analysis and CAD tools to

document projects and designs: AutoCAD, Chief Architect (3D

building modeling), Visual Analysis (structural FEA), MathCad,

Alibre (solid modeling software compatible with Solidworks), CHVAC

(building energy analysis), miscellaneous other programs for beams,

heat loss/gain, piping, and structural analysis. Code references:
