UI Program Specialist III/Adjudicator 2007 to present

Responsible for working with representatives from the Program Support,
Department of Revenue, Office of Appeals and the claims-taking hubs as
needed to resolve issues relating to claims. Interview applicants and
review claims to determine eligibility. Analyze claims to determined
reconsiderations once an appeal has been filed. Work directly with appeals
officers to re-determine claims for payments or for disqualifications.
Screen applicants to gather information from database to assess type and
location of employment and apply various Florida, Federal and other States'
laws, rules and regulations to make decisions on the appropriate type of
unemployment compensation claim. Gather information from applicants and
records demographic, employment history relative to claims process, assign
appropriate occupational classification codes and enter the information
into a computer database. Respond via telephone or correspondence to a
large volume of claimant and employer inquiries relating to eligibility and
chargeability. Review SAR reports to detect incomplete claims, errors,
corrections, etc., and provide training to associates in correcting the
problems. To review the secondary alien verification to assess the
claimants' eligibility for unemployment. To review the assignment of
Military and Federal wages to claims to ensure accuracy. Responsible for
interviewing claimants, employers, and any other party involved in the
process of fact-finding in order to make non-monetary and fraud
determinations, and or establish monetary over payments. Performed
analysis and planning as an executive in an agency having statewide impact.
