Ashley M. Sargent
Letter of Application
To whom it may concern,
I am writing in response to your Physician Assistant posting I reviewed on
the website. I have also included my resume, as requested, for your
consideration.
My experience from volunteering, shadowing, and on clinical rotations under
the supervision of various physician's and physician assistants in clinics
and hospitals has provided me with valuable insight into my professional
development. During my clinical rotations at numerous facilities I feel
that I excelled in history taking and performing physical exams, using lab
and diagnostic studies, encompassing health maintenance, and pharmaceutical
intervention. I was also exposed to a variety of procedures and
techniques under an array of circumstances especially cryotherapy of skin
lesions, incision and drainage, suturing and suture removal, and pap/pelvic
exams. The opportunity to interact with staff and patients has only
enhanced my knowledge of patient care and altered my approach to primary
care delivery. These opportunities to gain hands on experience have only
cemented in my mind that I have selected the proper niche for myself within
the healthcare system.
I would describe myself as mature, companionable, and energetic. I am an
altruistic person, finding it rewarding and fulfilling to assist people in
need. I set clear goals and pursue them with determination and I believe I
possess the intelligence, drive, and self-control necessary for achieving
those goals. I have a high level of self-discipline and the will-power to
overcome difficult situations. Despite distractions, I can remain on course
without giving up. I believe that others would describe me as reliable,
hardworking, practical, and down-to-earth.
I gratefully appreciate your time in considering my application for
placement as a Physician Assistant with your company.
