Admissions Recruiter and Diversity Specialist
My duties include: assisting in opening the only Osteopathic Medical School
for Doctors in Colorado, I recruited medical students nationwide, and
developed a diversity plan to recruit minority medical students I was
elected to a national board seat as the National Communications Chair for
NAMME-National Association of Minority Medical Educators (Update website,
Publish Newsletter, Disseminate information nationally). Also, I was
elected to a board seat locally for the Sickle Cell Association of Denver.
These are both 2 year terms. My networking brought immediate attention to
RVUCOM. I helped establish the Mini Medical School for 1st graded sickle
cell children (1st graders) sponsored by the AOA. The Mini Medical School
brought the opportunity for our students to learn about Sickle Cell disease
and interact with children that had the disease. They also received
training from the Denver represented for Sickle Cell Disease. This network
also opened doors to recruit in historical black colleges nationwide. This
position also included working with students that were underrepresented
minorities URM's. Also, I created a national diversity program to work with
existing pipeline programs and creating bridge programs with undergraduate
universities.
In this position, I created my own recruiting lecture about RVU that I took
on the road September 2008-March 2008. I visit over 25 universities per
year in the capacity as an Admissions Counselor. This includes driving and
flying over 10,000 miles last year. I facilitated RVUCOM's campus tours
and Open House events. Processed admission files to matriculate candidates.
Jenzebar, Interfolio AACOMAS, Virtual Evals, were the data bases I used.
Microsoft Suite and Contribute was the software used for website update and
daily duties. I also assist daily in the office processing and qualifying
applicant files using AACOM, Interfolio, and Virtual Evals. Our data base
is Jenzebar EX Client. I assist in the interview process for potential
student candidates.

Financial Aid Officer
In conjunction with admissions, I facilitated tentative interviews for
financial aid for potential students. Then after student was enrolled I
processed the financial aid for private and Title IV funding (Stafford
loans, Pell Grants, Perkins Loans, and State of Colorado Grants). My daily
tasks included follow-up and made sure each student had the proper funding
in compliance with the State of Colorado and Federal Government standards.
The computer databases and soft ware that I used are as follows: NSLDS,
FASFA, ELM, Outlook, and Microsoft Suite.

My duties included: subcontracting financial services with Amerisource
Lending/ Pegasus Commercial Development, Meridian Mortgage, Provided and

Team Lead Supervisor
I designed the new hire training specifically for the Conversion
Department. This was a department that had not had any new people for over
10 years. I also ran the workshops as needed with another Team Lead.
NSLDS, Microsoft Suite, Excel, College Serve. I co-chaired a committee to
review and enhance the work distribution in my department and 2 others. We
reviewed existing processes and implemented changes. Also, I helped design
a formal training class with the Human Resource Department to promote
Performance Based Organization Behavior for staff locally and it was well
received and implemented nationally throughout the company.

I trained loan officers on refinance techniques and organization skills.
I monitored calls and meetings. Collected and serviced loans. My duties

layoff processes.
