- The LRS100, loop reporting system. The second UNIX based network

management system in NORTEL, (BSD UNIX on DEC), and one of the first

network management systems built with UNIX in the industry.

- The DFMS, facility management system. The first network management

system in NORTEL, and one of the first in industry to utilize UNIX

(SUN-OS/Solaris), a distributed client-server architecture (SUN and

DEC), graphical terminals (SUN), and a relational database (Sybase).

- The VISION, SS7 management system. The first network management system

in NORTEL, and one of the first in the industry, to be designed with

ground-up object oriented techniques (C++, SmallTalk, CRC cards), and

incorporating an object oriented database (Gemstone).

tool, to more accurately do early project estimation of system
